What will it be, she came into the AO 7th in the world. What will she be if she loses in the finals and what will she be if she wins the title?

She'll be 3rd whatever happens I think... Not #1, that's for sure. Maybe #2, I'm not exactly sure... I'll count. Wait ;)

Yup, she's third whatever happens. She has 3942 points if she loses. 4236 if she wins.

She'll be no 3 regardless, if she beats Lindsay in the final (which most likely will happen) she'll be no 2 then.

If she wins she'll have 4336 points and she will be second

I'm glad that Serina could become #2

but the fact that just by having one very good slam or even winning one slam a player can so quickly move from #7 to #2 means in my view that the point rules are not very good.

I think at those levels moving 5 places in the ranks should be after a player has consitently proven herself in various occasions...

But it all depends on the points difference between 2nd and 7th, and on how they performed. If a player ranked 4th won last year and lost first round this year(or didn't play), then they should be able to be overtaken by someone who wins who didn't play last year.

She is number two now and hasn't got any points to defend until

Nasdaq-100 so if she wins Open Gaz and Dubai, she is getting real close to number one!! :worship: :worship: :worship: :bounce: :)
