We're to blame

As I drove to work this a.m., it dawned on me that Lena's loss is our fault.

We didn't send her letters.

Last year, she lost in the 1st round at the AO. She made it to the 4th round this year.

I think the letters would have put her over the top. Even if Lena loses, making the finals of the 3 remaining slams would probably take her to No. 1.

We must never forget to send letters.

I hope Elena will come to the Ordina Open this year (a week before Wimbledon) so I can cheer her on. That will boost her confidence and then she will win Wimbledon ;) :D

JK, your point is taken. But I believe many of the letters Verba delivered were of a general fan variety, as opposed to specifically Grand Slam themed.

Obviously, further experimentation is warranted.
