Vampire...she's got the passing shots.

Last match I've seen of Lisa's was the US Open against H2.

She can't match players that have a solid baseline game, and can
do angles running forward or solid passing shots

Lisa's better at playing big serve baseliners
like Venus or Maria; where she can chip and charge or catch them off
guard.

myskina is going to have to pick up her game or she will lose this match.

From the scorelines, Lisa has been playing awfully well.. So Myskina better watch out. I smell an upset here. I don't think if Lisa mixes up serve&volleyin and stayin back, that makes Natya's life hell. Lisa luvs playin on rebound ace. she choked at last year's QF against Patty but this time she will be the underdog with nothin to lose. Lisa will win this.

not necesarrily. She has NEVER beaten Davenport and she has pssibly one of the biggest serves, BUT then again she does also have excellent passing shots etc.

I voted Myskina cos i think she will, but I HOPE Lisa wins it

This will be interesting match.
Anastasia has been a little off. She needs to pick it up.

Raymond in 3! She has only dropped 2 games en route to the 3rd round.

Raymond has been impressive her first 2 rounds, but I don't think it's enough to upset Nastya! let's go Nastya! :D

An upset is possbile here, but not likely. Myskina will win in straight sets.

All three of their previous matches have been three setters and given Raymond's great current form and Myskina's tendency to start slowly I wouldn't be surprised to see another one here. Raymond is going to force Nastya to play at her best but I have faith that she will rise to the challenge and I see Myskina winning emphatically in the 3rd set.

I hope the austalian open oraganizers realize how competitive this match will be and put it on rod laver...espn2 should also wake up and show atleast parts of the match if it gets close :D :p But who wants to bet they will show an andy roddick or serena williams 6-1, 6-1 blow out instead of a highly competitive lower seed match ?

Lisa's on fire at the moment but only aginst low ranking players. When she hits Myskina, her fire will be put out.

Lisa is playing very well right now. She could win, but I'm going with Myskina in 3.

Lisa's past two matches have been 6-0; 6-1, I believe. I really really REALLY want both Lena and Natsya to lose simultaneously to Dani and Lisa. How freakin awesome would that be?:hearts: :hearts: :hearts:

Dream on! Both Lena and Nastya in straight sets - you obviously don't like the Russians! Therefore, you are probably very dissatisfied with the current shape of women's tennis at the top.

anti demented i would say you are an angry nasty individual... may i ask you what the hell raymond has done to you? myskina was not always in control at that match in sydney... it was 6-4 in the third. no one would say that she was "always going to win tht match" and as far as the match against schnyder....lisa had the first set on her racquet and unfortunately her nerves took over when she served for it at 6-5. GET A LIFE!

With Myskina's very simple road to the semis i highly doubt she is going to even contemplate being pressed by someone like fatty raymond! Last time i watched them play was at Sydney myskina was always going to win which is what she did, Lisa is good against people who hit hard and who have bad footwork, Myskina has neither of these bad attributes and definetly knows how to pass players.

Myskina in fairly straight forward 2 sets!

and NO PHOENIX! Lisa didn't choke against patty last year she was simply outplayed by a better player, both of which should NOT have made it that far in a grand slam draw!

Lisa i am going to be serving up some 30g fat hamburgers on the side of the court which might distract u from the game on the court.... GO MYSKINA

:haha:

Myskina WILL be in control of Raymond tommorow anyway - Sydney last year is a distant memory.

Raymond injured ? How serious?

Volcana
Jan 21st, 2005, 05:30 AM
I'm going with Raymond, but the last two rounds are no indicator. Raymond didn't go to net 15 times in either match, and Myskina had a negative winner-to-UE ratio in both of HER matches.

They could BOTH lose! :)

Raymond has to go to net. She can't beat Myskina from the baseline. Myskina is going to have to be +5 winner-to-UE, at least.

Running forward is easier than hitting the ball straight.
