not impossible I think...

Muller : 189
Safarova : 216
Rodionova : 212

Els won 6-4 7-5 :bounce:

Pretty close, but still not a bad win I think.

QR2: Callens vs Muller
H2H: 1 - 1
Els won their last meeting: Filderstadt (2004) - Hard (I) - 64 61.

I'm guessing, another close two-set win for Els. Goooooooo Els! :)

Well done Els:bounce:

I saw Els play on the gold coast and it was a bad loss she was leading 4-1 in the first set but lost it, she won the second and completely lost her game in the 3rd set. She wasn't serving well that day so nice to see her get a win on the board for 2005 in Hobart:worship:

Muller def. Callens 75 67(1) 60
I also noticed that Els isn't playing doubles, even though she's got a final to defend :(

Oh Els :( What a horrible third set :o She probably fought so hard to win that 2nd set that she was exhausted in the 3rd. Well that's the problem when you're over 30 I guess... :awww:

Good luck in Melbourne :)

This is quite logical. She has to play the qualies for the Australian Open.

This score is similar to her gold coast match, I obviously didn't see the Hobart match but she really died in the 3rd set on the GC and it seems she did the same here:sad:

You guys probably won't know cause of the WTA tours reluctance to not release commitments but do you have any idea of what Els schedule wil be after AO, I'm guessing she will get an Antwerp WC, but I'd like to see her play some 75K or even 50K events cause I think that would be a great way to regain some confidence and get her ranking back into top 100.

I dunno... but if she fail to qualify at the Aussie Open or if she loses with such a score once again, Antwerp might be her last tournament :( (that only involves my personnal point of view)

I've been thinking about that too. It would be sad to see her leave after yet another bad tournament, though :( I wish she could just play a few good tournaments to finish her career, or have a good slam performance, like a 3rd round at Wimbledon.

Stuttgart $10k:
