What is wrong with Rita Grande Maria Emilia Salerni , Samantha Reeves , Rossana Neffa-De Los Rios & Asa Svensson They are some of may fav's. I am really really disappointed. No doubt Salerni isn't at Hobart either- heaps of points down the drain. Is it the same injury as before?
And Sammy reeves- oh man.....
Have Asa and Rita retired or just injured?

damn those early exits at china 50ks are gonna cost dominikovic a chance to get in direct to main draw

coz no way is there gonna be 14 withdrawals oh well looks like she can use up a wildcard theyd only waste it on some 10 year old if she didnt use it

French WC for Stéphabnie cohen-Aloro :) :) :) :)

Open d'Australie

If someone withdraws after Monday, will they use updated next-in lists based on the new rankings? I believe that Sesil will actually be the highest ranked qualifier after this week based on her Gold Coast results.

these commitments do include Update. Next weeks ranks dont mean anything other than for seeding purposes.

So this is the final update? Too bad for Sesil, but I think she's almost guaranteed #1 seeding in qualifying then.

She's not, she's going home after Hopman.
and she's not the junior champ here. World Jr Champ doesnt get WC's.

only last yrs winner of that slam gets a quali WC for next yrs slam.

Krajicek wont be needing WC for qualies by time Roland Garros comes along.

She's not, she's going home after Hopman.
and she's not the junior champ here. World Jr Champ doesnt get WC's.

only last yrs winner of that slam gets a quali WC for next yrs slam.

Krajicek wont be needing WC for qualies by time Roland Garros comes along.

Thanks for clearing that up :D That means Katerina will be getting a WC to Wimb Q.. she might need it.. all the others won't. Shahar here and Sesil on RG Krajicek will make it in time for US Open. Maybe even Main Draw.

Maybe they should change that rule and make the junior champ get a wildcard into the MAIN draw the following year? It seems to me that by the time 12 months roll by most of them have a high enough ranking to get into qualies anyway....

And give a 3rd Aussie WC away, are you joking!!! There arent enough WC's left as it is! hehe :P

I can't belive Sammy has pulled out  I guess her year last year was so dismal that she has decided to either have a late start or just give up. I'll be so sad if she retires :bigcry:

 I think Rossana has retired.

Then again, she didn't play in 2004 until Roland Garros.

But she only played 3 tournaments last year, i think she has called it a day. :bigcry:

Rossana is entered to play 50k Waikoloa at the end of January. I doubt she would retire at this point, having done a pretty decent job of keeping her ranking around 200 with not that many tournaments played.Perhaps she wanted to save money and spend some extra time with her family :)

She's the reigning junior champion so she's getting WC into qualies in all Grand Slams.
They said in the Dutch forum that she's not playing the AO though! :bigcry:
