even though they are stated as being Tier IV on the WTA website, that infomation is in-correct.
WTA 2005 Pointcard still has Tier V listed on there.
This is the news:
There is still a Tier V level as Canberra and Hobart were the only two tournaments who were allowed to stay at Tier V level as they were in the first of the year and the change was approved late this year. So, they get Tier V points.
All other Tier V Tournaments have elevated to Tier IV level and the Tier V level will be completely eliminated for 2006.
