did you notice that there are a lot of poster that visit a thread, read it, find it useless and then take the time to post a reply to say it is useless? :bounce:

I wonder if there really is such a thing as a useful thread?

Maybe a few can be informative but all the rest is pretty uninteresting!

Troll threads. . ..many people respond to troll threads, especially about the Williams Sisters. Saint Seya's threads are almost always troll threads, but people lower themselves to a general response, though.

from the urban dictionary;

An older gay male, usually over 35 or so, who hits on younger guys who aren't interested in him. When they tell him they aren't interested, the troll will often flip out and get angry. Trolls are not just something seen in chat rooms but can be found just about anywhere people hang out/gather. Many trolls are secretly into underage guys but don't talk about it unless they are talking to another troll who is into the same thing, or if they are talking one-on-one with an underage guy.

Forum Admin which deletes posts referring to members of staff that do something against the rules, consequently causing a flood of posts asking why it was deleted. Great way to cover up your own mistakes

someone who goes to journals, message boards, or chatrooms and only reads. in case of journal, usually does not know the person. sometimes will leave ignorant notes in their journal.

one who causes major trouble on discussion boards, chat rooms, and other online things. Trolls are usually the ones that are anonymous on many sites so they aren't seen, and then they are able to cause major disruptions to sites.

from pcteachit;

A troll is a person who goes to a newsgroup or message board and posts a highly controversial message. For example, if you were reading a message board dedicated to teaching phonics, a troll might post a message about how phonics didn't work and whole word recognition was the way to teach reading. In order for someone to be a troll, it's usually a person who hasn't posted very much on the site. Most sites have a handful of regular posters who always post controversial ideas, but a troll is a newer user who just came to the site to cause problems. Learn to recognize trolls, because it's best to ignore their posts.

whats a troll to you? the definitions describe many parts of me!
