The shortest day of the year tomorrow- from here on out the sun returns and the days start getting longer, at least for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere...

I really need that, I can't get used to it being dark by 6 p.m. when it's dark still almost at 7 a.m. I don't recall it being this bad last year.

I would say it's global warming, or that it has something to do with how all of you wonderful people in the deep dark south voted in the past election (the clouds of fascism tend to make the nights longer), but suffice to say Joan never minded shocking her face with ice water in the wee hours of the morning, and then going for a long jog in order to be in at the MGM studios at the crack of dawn looking flawless, so you should be used to it by now, Hel!

That is true, when I get up at 4:45 to hit the gym at 5:30 so I can be a healthy Karen Carpenter thin, I use Miss Crawford as my muse.
