Dec 17th, 2004, 01:09 AM
They do me. So buy me something.

I hate them because I don't get to see my friends from college for a month. It's boring.

No never, except that I have exams in Jan and feel like I'm wasting time not revising:o And I do get a bit bored but not depressed.

Dec 17th, 2004, 01:33 AM
Not really, they are what you make them. If you dont wana be like the masses make your own fun and think yourself unique.

Gifts, family/relative/friends gathered together, my favourite season, trees and street covered with snow, shopping (not for yourselves for a change), ....

Nothing to be depressed about.

Now, the summer.... That's another story.

Dec 17th, 2004, 02:42 AM

I love the holidays. I used to get way way depressed and uncomfortable. but now its cool. What makes me unhappy is when you think of the people that are really suffering. that makes me sad.

Nah. I just get annoyed. Crowds at the mall, traffic everywhere... blech. Also, I don't understand why I need to celebrate Christmas, or why it needs to be a national holiday. Regardless, my family celebrates it, so I buy them stuff. I like to shop for them, but it seems meaningless to do it just because it's a particular day that holds little meaning to me. It's nice to see family and get good food though, so that keeps things level :)

Dec 17th, 2004, 08:18 AM
I'm depressed all year around so bein on the holidays makes no difference to me.

no. i love the holidays. i hate to work

Dec 20th, 2004, 08:47 PM
It is a bit depressing over the holidays unless you're very busy because the free time is conducive to self-reflection which is usually counter productive.

Dec 20th, 2004, 08:57 PM
this year, Christmas is going to suck.
The holiday break sucks already.
I am depressed and upset.

Dec 20th, 2004, 10:43 PM
I love holidays. The sleeping in late, seeing my friends out of college time, this year I have no homework or coursework, plenty of time to see family its great :D

Yes and No....I love Thanksgiving and Xmas.....but I hate New Year's...usually.

last year I spent it in California meeting someone from this board and doing something different so last year was the first year I wasn't depressed in a while but this year I have no plans so I think I might get depressed except 2004 has been so bad I'm actually really looking forward to 2005 despite having a bday coming up. :) So we will see..! ;)

Dec 21st, 2004, 05:12 AM
No, I love the holidays.

Some years I have great things to do; and in years where I have nothing to do and no one to spend any time with...

...I just think of how lucky I was to have had other great years...

...when I think of how much fun my life has been; it just makes it dumb to complain about hitting a "valley" every once in a while.

This holiday, instead of depressing me, might freeze my ass to death!
