Anyone know? it was published in 2001 and I want it for Christmas so I need to find out who wrote it. Anyone got it?

It's decent, but if you are (or were) at all interested in players from the 90's (from Evert, Navratilova to Capriati making her debut), you've got to check out John Feinstein's "Hard Courts." Feinstein's certainly not objective, but he's a much better writer than Wertheim and clearly knows a whole lot more about tennis.

Its a GREAT book......it features Monica, Martina, Anna, Lindsay, and of course Serena and Venus!

I have to second that. John Feinstein is more respected and credible in his tennis knowledge in the sports community than Wertheim.
