She said this in an interview in the December issue of UK Ace Tennis Magazine.

She said she would be playing:

either Gold Coast or Auckland
Sydney
Australian Open
Miami
Charleston
Amelia Island
Rome
Roland Garros
Eastbourne
Wimbledon

She doesn't know who she will partner but it wont be Kuznetsova or Lisa Raymond.

This was surprising as I thought she was going to retire this year but it appears not.

Of course she is.

I hope she will retire before it's really too late.

I think she's really pushing the envelope now
It's her choice, but I don't know... it kinda feels uncomfortable for me :o

Good point, never thought of that. Let's hope she doesn't hook up with that new Russian girl on the block, and shares some insight into winning. Isn't Martina N. the one who "discovered" the Russian girl at a tennis tourney in Moscow some eight years ago?

I thought she was retiring. All this about her last chance at Wimbledon this year and now she plays it again. Maybe she really wants to beat Billie Jean Kings record,

i think it's just because she's having fun and "because she can." she's loving her doubles career, and i wouldn't be all that surprised if she played another whole year.

I hope she plays singles at the AO too. I've never seen her play singles live and I'd like to. Although I have a feeling she'll only play doubles.

How about a Venus-Martina doubles pairing ? Martina could help Venus to develop her net game and an all court strategy. They'd make a great team, I'm sure.
