Okay....I swore I wouldn't say anything but I just have to....HER OUTFITS ARE AWFUL! This latest looks soooooooo ridiculous. She looks like one of those crochet covers that people place over their toilet paper or Kleenex box!

All she needs is roller skates, hat and a tray...and she could work at a Sonic Drive-Thru.....

Obviously you dion't see what girls 16-25 are wearing now-a-days. Serena's denim skirt at the U.S. Open and this is what the fashionsitas are wearing these days.

I have to respectfully disagree. I think the outfit shows another side or dimension to Serena's personality! It is very girlie, cute, and fun as opposed to her strikingly bold, daring, and sexy catsuit and USO biker outfit. It's that very versatility, not only in her choice of wardrobe but in her personality, that makes her so popular!

Both sisters say they are into fashion - strange how fashion and taste lose their meaning with both of them!

I think most people who say she cant dress probably can't dress themselves. You have to remember Serena goes beyond the regular tennis player, she is a celebrity and her look is a part of that.

Her current outfit is very cute, and something MANY MANY girls would wear similarly on a regular day basis.

I don't get it either. I mean it's so frilly. The top good, I guess, but what's with the bottom. And the shoes. Oh know. They are really bulky and so they make her legs look even bigger. She should have stayed with the normal shoes she wears(whatever that it). I just wished she dressed like she did in 2000. Like at Wimbledon 00, when she wore that purble and white outfit. She looked great in that, but now it's a disaster. Even the US Open is great compared to that. Hopefully it won't keep on getting worse, but better next year:)

Goodness, you people are dull!

Heaven forbid she wants to try out
different styles and experiment with
different types of looks!

Well, I'm a guy so I'd not wear that, but. Were not boring at all. I just think if u play tennis it should look like a tennis outfit. Now I don't mean all the boring adidas, but stuff that looks athletic. I mean she's in a tutu, it's cool for balet, but this is a different sport. I mean AnnaK had her own line (like Serena) and she doesn't(didn't) wear boring outfits. She had really original stuff, but it looked athletic. And it's not like I hate everything she wears. I like her old stuff even this years Wimbledon was reasonable & 2003 Aussie Open They look athletic. I have no problem with originality some of is just too out there, but that's just my opinion

Again,
she's experimenting!

She can take thing from other avenues and
incorporate them into her own style and
see how things go!

Also, the main goal is to generate a buzz and
to get people talking and they are!

Some like it, some don't!
C'est la vie

The only pathetic joke around
here is you and your obsession
with the Sisters! :wavey:

For hating so much you sure
do love to talk!

BTW, who's jealous?
To me, it's you that seemingly is always
bashing someone to try and prop up Sharapova!

if she's all that you say she is
they you wouldn't have the need to do it.

Then again, oh well!

Some of her outfits are OK.

The US Open one was pretty cool.
This current isn't.

I think she needs to keep her outfits more simple.

It's true that the skirt Serena is wearing is the type of skirt young girls on the street are wearing, so it's "in style" at the moment. However, just because something is "in style" at the moment doesn't mean everybody can or should wear that particular style.:(

Serena, unfortunately, looks like a football linebacker who decided to put on a tutu. Pleats and ruffles are not made for a body like hers, I don't care how stylish the outfit is.:tape: She looks really comical and her thigns butt look enormous.

However, I liked her quote when she said she loves herself. It means she doesn't care what people think, which is a good thing, I suppose.

The bellpepper is da diggity bomb. Everybody is lining up 'round the corner to get a pair of her new line of blood stained draws.

Isn't that the truth? The problem is people think they have taste, but the really don't. None of the people here complaining about Serena's and Venus' fashion sense said anything about that monstrosity Maria Sharapova wore to the Wimby ball. HORRORS!!!

Go back about 30 years to the days of BJK and Chrissie Evert, the skirts were very frilly and lacy, also they wore bloomers with lace ruffles on the butt, instead of shorts. Not athletic at all. What Serena wore to this tournament is nothing new under the sun. Some of you are just too young to know it.

 Are you blind? That outfit is very flattering to her figure. She has an hour glass figure, not a stick one.

Serena's outfit is designed to look like a really classy country club golf type outfit complete with the collar vest type top and the pleated skirt and the shoes (golf looking).

I think she looks very classy and it is something different and fun and adds to the game. Just think about it. Serena is the only one who draws anticipation before a grand slam. "what is she going to wear" etc etc ..... her fashion designs and what she wears add to the game on a whole and for the better.

This is what I read in US magazine. They have a group of people who talk about what people are wearing and they show a picture of Serena and it said: "This is what happend when you attend fashion school and fail."

LOL...you guys are cracking me up. Just because someone says they don't like the outfits, doesn't mean they are Williams "haters". But get real...some of her outfits are so ridiculously over the top...people think they are great JUST because she designed it. I think the top looked nice...but when it came to the bottom...WHOA! Like I said...it looks like a tutu....or a scouring pad. Maybe it would work if she was dancing as a "Fly Girl"...or if she was working on the street corner at night....(and please...don't take the latter comment seriously!). Hell....they all have worn some bad outfits, but Serena is just consistent with it. But since SHE designed it...it is assumed that its high fashion! The commentators the other night said they liked it. Yeah...right. Lets see one of THEM wear it.

But, you're not Mr. Blackwell and I haven't seen any credentials from you saying you're some kind of fashion czar, so just because you say so, doesn't make it true. Some people like it, some don't.

actually i am pretty certain that Mr. Blackwell already voted Serena "worst dressed" in the past. her outfits certainly provoke a lot of comment -- which is possibly all that she intends!

Please don't start rumors. If you don't know for sure, then don't put it out there. If you can find a link that says that, I'll believe it. But, until then it's a lie.

Well, I have good taste too. I don't like everything Serena wears, but I certainly love this outfit and of course I'd wear it on the tennis court. It probably wouldn't fit into my budget for my tennis outfits, though. In fact, it would fit right in with the Texas ladies league I play in. Texas ladies are always bling blinging on the court. ;)
