At the climax of the third season of "Alias," her character, Lauren Reed, was mortally wounded by multiple gunshot wounds to the body and plummeted down a man made well used to unearth Rambaldi. But according to Sci-Fi Wire, Melissa George might be making a comeback.

"I think she should come back," George said. "She got shot a lot. Like, a lot of times. Like, more than any regular person can take. But it was nothing in the heart. [It was in] the arms. And I played it like it didn't hurt her so I could come back. Like, maybe she had a vest on or something. They're like, 'Can you just look like you're in pain?' I'm like, 'Nope. I refuse.'"

Season 4 of the spy drama is currently in production, and is continuing without several characters this season. In addition to George's character, Julian Sark (David Anders) will not be a regular, but will return on a recurring basis for six episodes, including a couple of Sark-centric ones.

George also said she believes that the fans of the show will miss the dynamic which developed between the characters last season. George's character, who was introduced at the beginning of the third season of "Alias," was met with a mixed reception. Some fans of the Sydney/Vaughn relationship hated her, whilst others believed her introduction -- and the subsequent introduction of a love triangle -- gave a breath of life to what was nothing more than a dull office-romance, set against the backdrop of the CIA.

"Where's the blond assassin ruining their love life?" George joked. "It's like, don't you want the Aryan-looking blondies in the leather?"

The actress also commented that series creator J.J. Abrams, as well as several other cast members, are eager for her to return for a guest role at some point in the future, is scheduling permits of course.

"Alias" will return to ABC in January, with all 20 episodes of the season shown once a week.

I hope she does come back to make things interesting as long as Sydney and Vaughan stay together. I've just finished watching Season 2 on DVD and they looked good together and I'm a bit of a romantic and I want them to be happy :D

Melissa George does a great job for the role of Lauren Reed because she is the only one rescue the show. If Lauren Reed doesn't exist in the show and then the show will be bored especially after Irina Derenko deperated!

I remember Melissa George from her Home and Away days down here in Australia. Im not surprised she's now starting to hit the US scene. Always thought she was a good actress and she played a bitch very well

I think everyone enjoyed when Vaughn wacked her (i know i did) ... i just Sydney gets rid of Sark soon (i know that won't happen)

Now how will the producers cope with Garner/Vartan onscreen relationship after their failed one in the real life?

That's a very interesting but I'm sure they doing fine with that as it's just a screen acting.

Her accent was laughable - I dont see why they couldn't have made her an Ozzy so we didn't have to sit through her omniaccent for a whole season.

I'm glad she's dead. It was a crap storyline.

I have been watching ALIAS on DVD. I've just started the third season on DVD, but I did watch a few episodes during last season. This show is soo good! I am going to hate watching it with commercials!

LAUREN: We're both pawns in the same game. The difference between us is I know who controls me.
SYDNEY: Who controls me?
LAUREN: I guess you'll never know.

Lauren tried tell Sydney that someone control on both of them... it makes me wonder who control Lauren's, anyway? I think she tried tell us that Vaughn is a bad guy. How would he know it was Katya who stab his back as well as Sydney went to Palermo? It's strange to see Lauren tried to say about the bank account. How would she know about the bank account? Clearly, Jack give an order to Vaughn to kill Lauren but it was failed at first place, of course as someone else stab his back and then, he was in hurry to Palermo to killing Lauren once again. If it's 100% correct, Jack and Vaughn are bad guys!

Angel wasn't much of a bitch though... She was just really tough and didn't take no crap... ahhhhhhhhhh I was so in love with Angel... And Shane... I think I had a threesome in mind

Melissa George deserves to be a superstar though... She's a great actress. It took Catherine Zeta Jones a few years to make the change from TV star to Hollywood diva so hopefully Melissa follows in the same direction.
