Oct 12th, 2004, 09:53 PM

I'm doing a paper on Belgium, and lot of stuff about it, culture, art, music, people, language, religion.... but I'm missing one little thing and hope someone can help me.

I need to put some University and the cost of it per semester or so?

So if anyone knows and can help me?

What university, and how much pay per semester?

Obviously depends what university, etc. but anything will be great.

Thanks. :wavey:

We paid not for the semester but for the full year. I can give you the price for one year for the UCL (Université Catholique de Louvain) at Louvain-la-Neuve.

Normal inscription : 739 €
With the financial intervention of university : 100 €
With a grant : 100 €

And you have to bought syllabus of course. They aren't included in the price.
Any more info?

some flemish unies:

UA (University Antwerp) - 488 euro/year
VUB (Brussels) - 502 euro/year
UGENT (Ghent) - 502 euro/year
KUL (Leuven) - 502 euro/year

that is the highest price one has to pay, some people get reductions on how much their parents earn (reductions can go to only 80€ a year or so)

Wow, I thought it was around 700 € in every university... It looks like it's more like 500 € in Flanders!
Anyway I don't care since I have a grant, so I pay 100 € a year ;)

BTW there's something you need to know about these figures! You have to pay more if you're not a European Union citizen: you have to pay an additionnal 3.095,00 EUR to 9.295,00 EUR at the UCL!

OMG!!! Your Uni's are so bloody cheap...you really only pay like 500euro's a year in fees? (I know books cost more). I had to pay around 200 euros for each SUBJECT I took...so it was usually around $1500euros a year...8 subjects each year (4 each semester). God, Australia sucks!

not only that but at the vub the books are really cheap too the first year normally all your syllabi are free, and
I think in average per year I paid 20 to 40 euro on books...
only last year (not regular studies, but advanced in actuarial sciences) I paid more (like 75 euro....but then again work is paying for everything for every student in that section...)
