If there are 8, Elena still may come. Last year she didn't appear on the initial commitment list but she agreed to come later.

Prehaps she will really skip the first two months to practise who knows?

【黃穎釧報道】剛於德國保時捷大獎賽決賽因左大腿受傷退出的世界網壇「一姐」梅莉絲摩，明年一 月將首度來港 ，連同舒拉寶娃、古列索娃及Ｖ威廉斯，競逐屈臣氏蒸餾水世界網球冠軍挑戰賽，至於中國的奧運雙 打金牌拍檔李 婷和孫甜甜，亦有望南下出戰。

○五年世界網球挑戰賽定於一月五至八日假維園網球場舉行，由於費達拿和魯迪克等世界前列男將沒有 「檔期」， 故賽會寧願放棄男子組項目，復辦「清一色」女子比賽。

賽事共八位英雌角逐單打及雙打錦標，賽會昨午率先公布四位球星名單，「美少女」舒拉寶娃挾溫布 頓網賽冠軍名 銜崔護重來，球技與身價皆今非昔比。其餘三位女將的美貌雖不及舒拉寶娃，但來頭絕不遜色。曾奪 得十三項WT A巡迴賽錦標的梅莉絲摩，以及應屆美國公開賽冠軍古列索娃，均屬「實而不華」型選手，兩人首次訪 港，必令本 港球迷耳目一新。此外，Ｖ威廉斯亦會重臨香江全力宪冕。香港網總主席徐錦翔透露：「餘下四個參 賽名額會包括 兩位海外及兩位中國球手，我們正力邀奧運雙打金牌拍檔李婷和孫甜甜來港，但中國方面仍要視乎兩 人的賽期是否 相撞才能回覆，估計所有名單會在下月底前落實。」
