How much ... WHAT? ......TIME? MONEY? TALKING? HITTING ON THE CUTE WAITER? READING THE MENU?

Keith :lol:

Time = too much
Money = yes please :p
Hitting on the waiter = approx. 5 secs. (After 4 seconds I realize they're not cute afterall :lol: )
Reading the menu = 10 mins. (I'm incredibly picky :rolleyes::angel: )

It depends where you go. Sometimes cheap but sometimes upwards of $100 a person.

Friday I had Japanese, and spent like $10 on the food, and left a $2 tip.

Usually it's around $10 to $15 dollars. Unless I feel like going cheap for pizza or some Mexican food.

Time: ages, i'm French and a very slow eater
Money: reasonable i'd say, it gets expesnive if we have drinks before!
Hitting on waiter: Ah i'm too shy for that!
Reading the menu: I hate reading menus, it's always too long and complicated, i often look at the other tables and ask for the same thing as whoever is sitting ove there when i find the dish appetizing!

Usually between $10-$15 per person at somewhere like Ruby's... cept I get Ruby's food for free so... Friday's or Chillis.

I like the Melting Pot though and that's really expensive. Like... $100 for bread and melted cheese :tape:

Oh and I can never choose what I want. My gf has to decide for me and I'm shy so she has to order for me too... :o

When I'm out on my own, anything from £5 to £10 depending on whether I have a pub meal or not. When I'm on a Rugby tour somewhere, anything from £12 to £25

..depends on the place/food

- In greece you could get a great meal for 2 at an absolutely beautiful place for about fifteen to 25 euro..

- in the states i guess if you go for the traditional (pub) setting (ie applebees, fridays, etc..) - itd go for about $10 to $15 a person.. sadly a "romantic" place costs a good $40 per person in the least..

I loved the supermarket paella, but then I went to a Spanish restaurant and they cooked the authentic one. I felt sick - it had mussels and sea urchin and stuff in it and chicken wings. I felt so sick,lol.

Hmm I usually spend about $15AUD because we have some nice, but cheap Italian restaurants in my town...if I want to go to the Greek place, then it's up to $25. ;)

psstt tell me about it :p

when I was in london - a group of 3 of us ate at pizza hut for i believe 22 pounds - which amounts to a shocking $40 usd or so which is nuts when a group a three can eat easily for $15 at pizza hut in the states :p

.. i was in london for a bit over 2 months and lived off bread more less ;)

- and on a curious note (hope brits doesnt mind me asking..) - what is the average hourly wage in london? :confused:- anyone?

Around £6 to £8 per hour I think for part time work at most places. At McDonald's it's around £4.50.

There is a cheap Pizza place in Camden Road. £1.50 for a small pizza take away. Used to go there all the time when I was in the 6th form at my old school

Yeah it is but the paupers in the north make much less than that. In the town where I live most people are lucky to make more than £5 per hour.

I tip well too... just as long as the servers are girls. I don't tip guys that well... Not cause I'm a man-hating lesbian but cause I don't really appreciate them perving over my girlfriends chest while I'm trying to eat. One time this guy while taking our drinks order said to her "I'm not trying to hit on you or anything, but you have incredible eyes." Yeah... "eyes"... :tape:

I'm not jealous though... :lol:

Yeah, London is pricy! And being the big, fat, American that I am ;), I'm used to eating a lot, so when I lived there, I would drag my friends to eat at Mr. Wu's. It was this really bad, cheap, Chinese food, but it was all you can eat, so I was all over that!

I also used to eat at the Halls of Residence (the dorms) while attending Regent's College in London. But luckily, I was hooking up with one of the facilities managers, so I got lots of free food! I'm resourceful like that. :D

It really depend onwhere I eat. A nice dinner-before-the-theatre in New York City is $100 a head easy. And that's for really-good-food-but-not-too-well-known. I've eaten in places in New York that cost a week's pay. And you have to drop $20-30 on parking. On in the suburbs, a nice dinner-before-the-theatre is about $60-70. Usually with free parking.

I have to say i have many faults and can point them out, but i am a huge tipper and i like that about myself...i cant imagine the grief some of these people must have to deal with all day. and old people are the worst! when i was in Florida recently, i couldnt believe the way old people treated the resturant staff.

I am the opposite of you and tip the men better!:o that just being my shallow, gay self...i do tip women well too...i usually tip over 20% but if you're a cute guy, you are likely to get a lot more. We hardly ever get male waiters though, i often wonder if when they (the host/hostess) seat you, that if you're an all male party, they seat you at a female serving table and same with the females (getting a male service table)....its very seldom i get a male to serve me...we went to a mexican place on saturday and every server was male except one, and thats who we got, the female! LOL...i would have drooled over any of those men and yet we got the woman. oh well, she wasnt very good either and only got a 5.

When my wife takes me out to dinner we usually spend about 40-45 euros. Thats with a salad, main dish, wine and desert. sometimes a little more than that. We dont go to pricey restaurants. I recently ate at the most expensive restaurant in Paris. It is called Jules Vernes (i did not pay). The Menu Complete cost 114 Euros i think, without wine. So its closer to 140 per person with wine i presume. While beautifully presented, the food was not to my taste.

That's the one! It's right across the street from some sex shop, if I remember right. I think it's also near Old Compton's Bar, if that place is still around.

Florida has the worst old people... ever! It's like America's and I guess the world's most obnoxious old people go there to retire and they think the world revolves around them! My gf is a manager in a restaurant in Florida and she always has a story to tell about awkward customers and they are almost always old... And they tip like $1 on a $50 check :lol:
