Leslie Butkiewicz wint ITF-tornooi Nantes - 12/10/2004

De Antwerpse Leslie Butkiewicz heeft in het Franse Nantes (25.000 dollar) het ITF-tornooi gewonnen. Butkiewicz won in haar loopbaan wel al enkele 10.000 dollar tornooien, maar op een evenement dat gedoteerd is met 25.000 dollar raakte ze eerder nog nooit voorbij de tweede ronde. In Nantes versloeg ze onder meer de Duitse Woerle (WTA 224) en de Tsjechische Hrdinova (WTA 260). In de finale kende Butkiewicz geen genade met de Hongaarse Rita Kuti (WTA 252) en won met droge 6-2, 6-1 cijfers.

Ik geloof dat dit het artikeltje was die in het Nieuwsblad stond. Leuk dat ze tegenwoordig ook aandacht besteden aan de 25K tornooien :)
