Hey, can someone tell me the advantages of having a Mac or a PC and what your preference is? Im not a genious at the computer or anything and I have always seen that PCs have a faster processor than Macs that are priced comparably. Why is this? Are Macs generally slower than PCs? Thanks! :wavey:

what are you planning to do with the new 'puter?
pc's give a better bang for the buck, mac's are generally better for newbies. if money isn't an issue go for the mac. fewer variables in their box, stuff runs more reliably ...
macs excel at audio/visual editing. if multimedia manipulation is in your future the mac will present a much gentler learning curve. if gaming, go for the pc.
i have both & linux boxes ... its really about what you wanna do.

LOL great thread!
i just got my ibook and ipod in the mail a few days ago. i must say that its not as wonderful and erotic as some mac users make it out to be.
Right now i am ripping a CD to itunes and it is so loud and slow i might as well commit a crime and steal the music.
i like the ipod, but am greatly annoyed at how hard it is to remove music from there.
the tounch pad is entirely too sensitive. other than ilife the software sucks big fat hairy donkey cock.
i can not stress enough now much this thing does stuff on its own like type random letters.
ok configuration is a pain for most programs because as a windows user you except certain things to be in certain places, but they are not. and as easy as mac users will tell you it is to switch it is not. also there si no real good free guide out there that i found to make switching easy or even to ofer good pointers.
