As i posted in the FanClub thread already, http://www.wtaworld.com/showpost.php?p=4212967&postcount=11682,
Lena - truly hope it's herself - asks for help with her site. :help:
Ideas on its reanimation are welcome.
Meanwhile, i'd remind on a common thread devoted to sites in GM,

from Pavel's posting in Lena's forum, http://forum.dementieva.ru/index.cgi?nc=1095963583&read=460
Поэтому мне бы хотелось его реанимировать, возможно поможет смена дизайна и ваши идеи ;)my site is really stunted ;) So, I'd like to revive it, maybe redesign and your ideas help ;)
Главная его проблема - отсутствие регистрации, ситуация когда любой человек может подписаться кем угодно крайне неприятна.imo, webmaster is to be replaced. Nothing happened at the site for about a year, and its many pages aren't working, gallery e.g. I think the webmaster has exhausted his trust limit. And besides a professional web-designer, there must be a fan in charge of the site, enthused with boiling energy (believe me, such people exist and they'll reply if they're needed). Some motion power is needed, somebody is to work with news and updates, otherwise the result'll be the same in a while. Surely, the site must have the 'Elena Demetieva answers' section :D , some feedback alike a guestbook. It's clear the professional player is very short of time, but at least you could answer some of most interesting questions. It's just a pleasure to get answer from your fave, no less than to follow her wins. I say it from my personal experience though it's limited by today only :D next, the current forum is out of time for long, it urgently needs change. Its main problem is registration absence, hence anyone can sign as anyone else which is extremely unpleasant.

Thanks for posting and thoughts, Pavel :worship:

I know Elena is very proud of her Russian heritage, but it would be nice to have the option to read her site in other languages, even if it's only some of the high-level buttons. As is clear from this group, she has fans from every corner of the world! (And we know she speaks French and English very well).

I've sent some my considerations to said address already, its main points are:
- there's one-time-mostly task of (re)building the site, and continous task of its maintaining (news, update etc) and forum support (moderate mostly)
- current first-hand news are wanted much (diaries alike Belgian tops' or something else)
- feedback is a must
- these points are largely dependent on Lena herself
- bilingua (Russian + English) is a must, French is cordially welcome
- forum rework and moderation is a must.

Elena deserves a good website. :) I've seen some fan sites and they haven't been updated in like 3 years.

Consider this on the web these days. Look at www.thefanlistings.org They have official fanlists for a few tennis players too. Check out Approved Fanlists and under Sports category there is Tennis... you find even Maria, Pete, and so on Elena deserves to have a fanlisting too, in addition to a site, or inside an offical site an official fanlisting.
