Anyone know what Na's schedule will be after this tournament? I don't see her in the alternates list for the Japan Open or for Tashkent, and I don't see her in any of the challenger events either? Perhaps she is taking a much needed rest?

Tian Tian Sun, Ting Li, Yan Zi and Nan Nan Liu all one their first round qualifying matches. Clearly the 1 month training schedule they have had in Guangdong Province has helped! Keep going girls, fight for every point!

Can't wait to see Sun and Li play in a doubles tournament, they had Woodford and Woodbridge's old doubles coach giving them tutoring and help. Hope they advance far in the Australian Open! :bounce:

I spoke too soon... Tian Tian is capable of bagelling people in a set, but then she'll lose the next set easily, seemingly without a fight. Im disappointed she got knocked out by Czink of all people in the 2nd round of qualies at the Gold Coast :( Fight back at the Richard Luton in Canberra!

HOW DID TIAN TAIN LOSE TO CZINK!!!????!!! CZINK IS TERRIBLE! And Tian Tian is very talented......Nan-Nan should never lose to Haynes and Ting shouldn't have lost to Pin who is not very good...Atleast Zi won which is nice to see since she hasn't had much seuccess in a while...GO NA AND JIE!

Tian Tian has disappointed me so much this tournament, i hope she progresses really far in Canberra to make up for it :)

The mixed doubles final will be between Li Ting/Zhu Benqiang (Hubei) and Ji Chunmei/Zeng Shaoxuan (Jiangsu).

As for the women's doubles, unfortunately, the Henan pair of Sun Tiantian and (someone else, the article does not specify), did not reach the top 8. (They were upset by Ding Ding/Zhao Yijing of Beijing). However, don't worry, andrewc, they still have a chance of reaching the main draw in the doubles because there are 4 other spots for the non-top 8, so Sun/Someone else will have to prevail in the repÍchage round.
