At the end of the match she seemed very tired, but the smile was HUGE :)

Maria :bigcry:

Too bad after being up 3-1 up in the third :( :( Still a great tourney knocking off the French Open Champ and the ever improving Gisela. Nice to see her finally grabbing some headlines and a foothold in the Top 50 - a far cry from challengers just a couple years ago. :yeah:

Congrats Marlene :worship: Now go take the title ;)

I'm sorta partial to Italian players (my boyfriend is from Roma)... so I always root for Camerin, Flavia, Mara, Silvia, Roberta, Francesca.... I even followed Giulia Gabba's results through the qualifying and into the main draw in Ashland this week. Aside from Flavia - who has amassed a nice record this year in smaller tournaments - I've just come to expect everyone other Silvia & Francesca to lose in the first round. So, it's nice to see Camerin come through and knock off Dulko and Myskina  this week. Sucks that she pulled off those two wins and then had a letdown against Weingartner. But, all credit to Marlene for playing the best match today.
