The way Nadia played in the first set,I'm not surprised why she could beat Justine.However in the second and third sets,Nadia was too inconsistent and Sveta played much better.Arantxa was there.She encouraged Sveta the whole match :).

They were showing clips of what the players were doing within the week and Arantxa was dancing with Nadia's coach the night before. :lol:

Managed to tape the whole match and am now awaiting the doubles semi-finals. Camerin and Weingartner are letting Sveta rest up longer.

Forehand was off in the first set and backhand was a little off in the last few games but good win nontheless.

They all looked so great off court. ASV was so glamourous. :)


Nadia was playing her homage to Lindsay Davenport in the
first set. Immaculate serving- really class A stuff. Unfortunately
her return game was off, and the travel mileage started to show.
She was also doing really irked about line calls, and doing
Marat on court gestures. :lol:

Sveta was outstanding in her returns from the end of the second
set and the end; but you know what folks? They both moved slower
then back in New York. Nadia was really into it; but her body
just couldn't keep up, Sveta too- she was dragging her legs
during all three sets. The forehand was off, and sloppy.

For a couple of jet-lagged players they looked great. Really
nice, and surprisingly fresh faced; but the footspeed, and
reaction time were off, thus so many EU's. Really bad EU's too,
the type you see in practice. Some great shots, some very
bad shots.

I wonder how they'll hold up in Europe?

Sveta's so funny. She hits a really chokey, dumper of a shot to
the net and she waves to the crowd to acknowledge the
fact that "hey, sorry my fault, crappy shot, yes I know". :lol:

I think this title has got to be hers and will be her third of the year.

Nice win by Svetlana....think she´s gonna be around for a while. She got the head at the right place.
