Hi

At the Wimbledon premier the Maria went to and met Kirsten Dunst along with other stars if the film in LA.
Was that premier in the Manns (sid graumans) Chinese Theatre,?

If it was i am upset cos i was there in july and if i went then i could have seen her, my hotel was inside the building that houses the theatre.

REAL TENNIS STAR SHINES BRIGHTEST
BY Elizabeth Snead and Joel Sratte-McClure

LOS ANGELES DAILY NEWS

MATCH POINTS: Kirsten Dunst (now beau-less) and Paul Bettany staged a love match posing for pics on the green carpet at the premiere of "Wimbledon" Tuesday night in Beverly Hills. But the stars of the smashing new romantic comedy were eclipsed by Maria Sharapova, 17, this year's real Wimbledon winner. The stunning 6-foot-tall Russian blonde, wearing a clingy Marc Jacobs dress, gave insight into the romantic moods of pro tennis players. "Tennis, not men, is my priority. But I am trying to make the game more fashionable, if not more romantic, because I play better when I look good."

How's that for keepin' priorities straight? ;)

hey check this out, apparently Maria's going to have her signature fragrance...hmmm what do you guys think it'll smell like? :hehehe:

From Bill Scheft of Sports Illustrated: "(Maria) Sharapova is coming out with her own signature line of perfume. I have no idea what it smells like, but I guarantee the fragrance will last three years longer than the Anna Kournikova perfume."

Wimbledon Champion Maria Sharapova Signs Exclusive Worldwide License Agreement With Parlux Fragrances

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Sept. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Wimbledon Champion, Maria Sharapova has signed an exclusive license agreement with Parlux Fragrances, Inc. to launch a signature fragrance under her own name. Parlux expects to launch before the end of 2005.

"This is a great opportunity for me to do something creative and fun," 17-year-old Sharapova said. "I love the world of fashion and I'm looking forward to experiencing it first-hand."

Ilia Lekach, Chairman and CEO of Parlux added, "We believe that Maria is a special young lady with a remarkable sense of fashion. She exudes a passion for being the best and her talent promises a brilliant career far beyond tennis. We believe her fragrance will also spearhead our global expansion into Eastern Europe."

Sharapova, the world's ninth-ranked tennis player and one of the youngest champions ever at Wimbledon, has built a global fan base. She is an emerging personality who possesses a champion's desire to succeed.

The agreement was negotiated by IMG. Its a stupid idea. IMG need to be shot for suggesting it.

Frank
Sep 20th, 2004, 08:35 PM
I really don't think this is a good idea and I'm afraid it won't do her tennis any good...

BUT,

Maria says she's looking forward to it cause she can do something creative and likes the fashion world...If this is her true opinion and not something IMG told her to say...

Who am I to dissaprove about this?

Edward.
Sep 20th, 2004, 08:51 PM
Venus said her side careers wouldn't affect her tennis. Look what happened.
