I think AC/DC, INXS, silverchair and Savage Garden are probably four of the most well-known Aussie bands outside of Australia apart from the newer ones like Jet and The Vines.

Fantastic

 Why am I telling the foreigners what the most well-known Aussie bands are? They should make up their own minds. Sorry for spreading my influence. I'll get back to you with a Vicks Vaporub.

Most of my favourite bands are Aussie :)
I think Aussie bands are the best in the world :yeah:
But then, I'm not a foreigner, so i dont count.
I got some of my British friends into some Aussie bands, I made one guy listen to Motorace, Powderfinger and The Whitlams and he likes those now.

I'll just take a look at my mp3 collection, although I dont have mp3's of all the bands I like.

28 Days (4)
ACDC (1)
Alex Lloyd (2)
Antiskeptic (3)
Augie March (3)

Blueline Medic (2)
Bodyjar (8)
Bonacci and Wood (1) - that one isnt mine :o
Frenzal Rhomb (20)
Grinspoon (10)

I did like that band Noiseworks, listening to them right now. When I grew up I would listen to them, John Farnham, Cold Chisel, INXS, Jimmy Barnes and so on. Not really what most kids my age would listen to when growing up

notice how all successful kiwis don't live in NZ. it's only because they came to australia that they became successful. crowe lives in sydney, sam neil lives in sydney, time finn lives in melbourne. the little whale rider is onyl good true New Zealander and she will probably move here tomorrow
