This is the way the field is shaping up for the inaugural China Open in Beijing. Luckily for tournamnet organizers, Jie Zheng sneaks into Main Draw after Bartoli's withdraw, saving them use of one WC.

IMO Li Na should def get one WC as she is 31-1 this year and in the SF of the $25,000 Beijing Challenger this week so she should not be forced to play qualies. The other Chinese WC will go to Shuai Peng, Zi Yan or Sun Tian Tian. The two girls that do not get WC, along w/ Liu Nan Nan, Xie Yan Ze and Li Ting will fight it out if the qualifying :D

Not sure who the Gold / Silver Exempt Wild Card will go to ... Maybe Ai Sugiyama or Myskina will enter at the last minute? :lick:

The only reason I wouldn't want Ivanovic or any other young European getting it is because I feel that the Chinese are just as deserving, and really need the points. Na Li just won the Asian Championships convicingly over Mirza, and continues to sweep through the fields at all of her ITF events. I wouldn't be shocked if sheupsets Zheng this week.
