Who will finish 2002's season better - Jen or Martina ?

I'm going for Martina. Although I have doubts she will be no. 1 again, I think she will do better than Jen, because I don't think Jen will be as fit and motivated as this year.

I'll go for Martina too because I'd like to see her make a big comeback <img src="smile.gif" border="0"> and also I am waiting to see how Jen deals with the pressure of defending her big titles.

I hope Martina does real good in 2002.

Hingis for sure,capriati has too many points to defend unlike Martina i also think the enforced rest has done Martina the world of good.

I'd kind of like to see these two play a few times again in 2002 so martina can get some revenge.

Both Martina and Jennifer will start the year with zero points, <br />The points from 2001 are there to determine seeding for tournaments through out 2002..

So basically everyone starts the new year with No points, so yes Jennifer has more points to defend than Martina, but they are actually starting 2002 with the same # of points.. The only advantage jennifer has, it that she should get the advantage of better draws (but's that really only on paper) when talking about 2 players inside the top 4..

When it comes to ranking it should be Martina. Jen have a lot of points to defend even if she will do a good job.
