(Joanie, don’t feel bad. 1 Star Jones = 1 Joan & 1 Melissa & 1 Edgar & ….)

PASSING THE TORCH: E! Entertainment Television has nabbed a really big Star to replace Joan and Melissa Rivers on this year's Emmy red carpet: Payless spokeswoman (and View co-host) Star Jones! Jones will greet celebrity guests as they arrive at the Shrine Auditorium and then immediately show them sexy pictures of her fiancé, Al Scales Reynolds.

Please tell me this is a joke Neely. I think I am gonna pass out.

What's a woman who wears a size 80 and shops at payless know about fashion? This is just an insult to everyone in the fashion industry. It's like getting Mary Kate Olsen to advertise for plus size clothes and Jenny Craige!

I think Neely has "punked" us because the Oscars aren't at the Shrine anymore. Star would, however, show pictures of her fiance to people, so that part had me going. It's all about Star.

She's coming out with a diet book soon, the "happiness diet" she's calling it. It's really easy, just eat whatever you want and don't worry about it. Health concerns are overblown and if you're a superrich celebrity, you can just buy a mate if you can't attract one with your looks or personality. She has some really good recipes for french-fried burritos, butter salad, pizza topped with potato chips and french fries, cheese soup, and my personal favorite, deep fried fois gras with a brie-based batter. Hmmm!

She's got the money to do the liposuction and stomach stapling gig.

Her body laughs at liposuction and staples.

So are Melisa and Joan actually getting canned?

Sadly, they wouldn't pay Joan the money she DESERVES, so E! doesn't have Joan anymore.

Eat your old biddy hearts out...Only Star can attract a masculine and handsome man like this...:worship:  :tape:

In that first picture of the fiance I just thought it was Alicia Keys and she had forgotten to shave for a coupla weeks!

Look at the second picture. The poor schmuck is having to support his own leg with his hand to handle Star's head weight. I would rather he was replacing me than Star. He knows more about the fashions.

It's no joke, Hel. Scroll past the Tracey Gold DUI blurb.

Doesn't matter though because Joanie and Lissy have their TV guide gig.

Star's only got a man like that because he's a gold digger. If she were poor do you actually think that he would have anything to do with her? I don't think so!

Joanie! It gets worse!

Entertainment weekly is reporting that "The ''View'' host will take Joan Rivers' old post, with help from E! alumna Brooke Burke, fashion expert Robert Verdi, and Bachelor Andrew Firestone "

The Bachelor is in on this too?!!!! This is a travesty!

Really, I think it's time to boycott E! I can just about handle seeing Joan Crawford's face at 5 a.m., but not Bette Davis'!

E! is playing dirty. They are literally trying to sabotage my TV Guide debut by making me literally ill by hiring these people. I think I may be having a stroke as I freakin' type!

Joan, being a 2 time emmy winner I have a lot of clout. I'm going to try to organize a boycott of the E! red carpet proceedings. Get the word out to your celeb friends too that they are not to talk to anyone with an E! microphone. We'll bring them down.

I'll call the wax works for an Oscar boycott. None of them even knows who Star Jones is and it was very taboo to be obese when we were at our height, so it won't be hard.

Brooke who? Robert what? Andrew which? There are more nobodies in this town than there ever was in our day.

Starr, you fool, a fag hag only hovers around and dotes on her fag not marry him!

I take back everything I said about Star Jones (apart from what I said about her being fat and marrying a gay guy)!

LOS ANGELES Sept. 14, 2004 ? Star Jones will get to mix her two favorite things television and fashion as host of E! Entertainment's coverage of the red carpet at the Emmy Awards.

"This is not a bad little gig," Jones said Tuesday after the cable channel announced she would replace Joan and Melissa Rivers as hostess of the two-hour special.

The mother-daughter duo took their acerbic fashion commentary to TV Guide Channel in July.

"One thing I will not do is try to duplicate Joan, because you never duplicate an original. That's not smart," Jones said. "My biggest challenge is not to be a stupid, gushing fan because I really love most of the people who are nominated and presenting."

That doesn't mean Jones won't have something to say to stars committing fashion faux pas.

"Even if it's something I wouldn't have chosen, I want them to explain why they chose it," she said. "There's no question I would've asked Bjork, `What went into the decision on the swan?'"

Jones, who co-hosts ABC's daytime talk show "The View," will be joined by Robert Verdi, host of E!'s new weekly series "Fashion Police."

The Emmys will air Sunday night on ABC.

Hey, Star knows her place and is admitting it. I admire that. But what about her question to Bjork? Is that the best she can freaking do? When Bjork came up the red carpet I said 'What the fuck is that mess?!!!' Hey, we were all thinking it.

No, Joan, she's still a backstabbing little, uhh, big, bitch. She already knows the gig will last ONCE before they shit-can her. She's basically setting it up so when they shit-can her, she can say that you were too hard an act to follow.

Helen Lawson

Has it maybe occurred to anyone that Star is doing like an undercover reality show, like she picks the gayest guy around and makes a total ass of herself all as part of some show to see what friends of hers are really her friends and will try to talk to her and which don't, and what people say to her about such an obviously unsavory situation? Nah!

That is technically true though Hel. Re the reality show idea : If that is the case, Star is a genius! Still talentless though.
