She'll start by winning Hasselt this year first. Next year we'll see her return hungrier and more eager to get that maiden Grand Slam title. As for winning it... uh, let's just wait and see how she goes in the European indoor circuit.

with nobody dominating the tour, i think a healthy/motivated Kim Clijsters is going to be in contention at all the '05 slams and has to be a favorite to win at least one of them. Kim was playing great tennis for a full year and a half before she got injured.

I think she has an excellent chance to win one. Maybe the Australian. She loves that one the most I think, and she will be very hungry after the long break from competition. I'm not a Clijsters fan really, but I hope she will win a major. She deserves it.

I really don't know. I wish her to do well, but I am not expecting her to come back 100% at the beginning. It is gonna take tme for her to get back in shape and get back in the rythm and match tough.
What went on with Justine was a miracle, and i don't expect that it will also be the same for Kim. But who knows?

Are you suggesting that Justine has the monopoly on Belgian miracles? ;)

I'm expecting Kim to come back and just enjoy her tennis, as always. Lots of smiles, "you knows", splits, awesome tennis, fist pumping, grace, athleticism and generally making the tour a happier place to be.

Kim has all the talent in the world, but she also has four major factors working against her:

1. Her well-documented history of folding in big matches.

2. The Russian Revolution.

3. The return to form of other injured players, most notably Justine Henin-Hardenne and the Williams sisters.

4. Her impending marriage to Mr. Bagel-Tiebreak-Bagel.

I'm not saying Kim will never win a major, because if Dementieva can reach two finals in one season, then Kim certainly can win one. If she is to win one, however, she'll have to overcome a lot more than her own physical problems.

It certainly hasn't affected Hewitt, he's in the form of his life, so why should that be against Clijsters?

Point 3 eliminates point 2 imo :)
And saying " other" means that Kim is one of those players better than the Russians, no :p
So yes, she's the major contender to win next year :D

I don't see them having a long and happy marriage if both of them are playing world-class tennis, and given their respective personalities, I can see Kim sacrificing career for family.

I really think Its a great time for Kim to come back in the indoor season because even if she is very inconsistent I have no doubt that she will be fully prepared for the beginning of 2005 and have a great assault on Australia. Come on Kim Ive missed you so much :) cant wait to see you bac :)

Honestly, I expect Kim to come out guns a blazin. Sure she has an injury but it as been to her left hand. The reports I hear is that she has been praciting her forhand which before the injury was her weak wing. By now her forehand should be on top form and her backhand was so solid before that any amount of time away wont make it any less dangerouse. Kim as folded against the top players in the past but none of those she struggled with in the past are playing sparkling tennis so she has more than a shot to win a grand slam next season...... although I do hope Venus as other plans.

Well I don't know what to expect. I know when her wedding will be (well not an exact date but I know the period) and I think it's a rather strange period and it will interup her rythm a bit imo. But on the other hand I'll expect her to make a good return in Hasselt and believe she'll have a good year. She'll stay a favo to win slams and other titles :)

I think she has a chance. I think after her injury, she'll be more hungry and will work her ass off. Cause when she gets a Slam she can retire and produce babies.
Anyway Leo has said shell stay till shes max. 25 years. some years to come:)
