...not quite enough for one of those hand held blenders, unfortunately...might get a nice carriage clock though... :)

interesting Q

AT Roland Garros the WTA just awarded ordinary pts for beating Serena and Venus
but at Wimbledon they awarded the Special Seed status.

Venus no longer in equation
i guess Serena will be worth 150 (but i guess it all depends on who beats her , could be either 150 or just 70)

Thanks :) although I don't like the answer

So it might be up to the WTA to decide who will be no. 1 after the US Open. :o

I thought your points were based on your actual ranking. I doubt if they have another rule for the USO only. if they did give points on SS at Wimbledon and not at the AO they need to redo the rankings pretty quickly as its plainly nonsense and its not as if the GS are telling the WTA which points to use.

normally they are
but they made a Special Rule up for Venus and Serena :o

But if they apply the rule one way for the FO and another for Wimbledon (and I thought it wa actual ranking used in the AO too?) it isn't a rule - its either a joke rule or randomly applied or the rankings counter made a mistake.

Has anyone told them?

Fantastic

This is why I had a problem counting up the points. I never knew which rules they were going to apply for which tournaments. For Grand Slams, it seems to be up to their individual discretion. It's really silly. It needs to be uniform across the board. Venus and Serena didn't really need "Special Rankings". An injury ranking would have sufficed. It would have been about the same anyway. Serena stopped playing after Wimbledon 03 with a ranking of 1. Venus stopped at the same time with a ranking of 4.
