Nice. Now, let's get back to Maria's loss and Serena's boots!

Nice, but the match wasn't that nice.
Still, Lisa's forheand is one of the best shots in the game  :yeah:

Justine did her job, no historical match, but she's searching for her own tennis again. Still not perfect, but better than two days ago...

Justine won in two sets, that's the most important thing....

Ok, Pigam, waiting for your report on the match in JT! ;)
Filip said she was playing Ok? I'm worried about her wasting break points opportunities! :(

Anyway, well done, JuJu!! :bounce:

Well done Justine. You're a great player, the best, but I'm rooting for Nadia so I won't say good luck.

Indeed, not great, but just doing her job and trying to play tennis again (not what she did two days ago). She just has to be more and more aggressive now in the next round. That's what she needs the most!

Yeap and I'm feeling relief from that. :D

actually I didn't see the whole match
Only say the beginning and the ned.
It went up and down. Some great shots, some terrible winners
and she often let Lisa back into her service games,... but as the others said
she won in 2, that's the most improtant thing.

The last rally of the match was :hearts: Really nice backhands! Nice :)
She was constantly pumping herself up, screaming 'Allez' and pumping her fist.
She still seems a little bit 'slow'. I guess she is still fatigued from Athens

Well done, Ju :yeah: !!

Think so too. Athens was a bit too close to the US Open, but I'm still so happy that she played it, just as every Juju-fan probably :)

I worry about her stamina quite often. At the same time, if women played the best of five sets I don't think she'd ever lose. She's an odd one...

And Justine is happy (duh!) she played there too,

Oh thanks, I thought she lost once to her, but I was wrong :)
Petrova had a difficult match, Justine was not really wasting too much time today, so let's hope this can help her.

Good luck in the next round Justine!!!!

(What was that about Serena's boots? Errrr... *slump* ;) )

CONGRATULATIONS Justine!! :D Good luck against Nadia... I saw some of Nadia's match against Silvia and I could not really take my eyes away from it at the end... (I like both Nadia and Silvia and a big yaaay!! for Nadia but too bad that someone had to lose that match... :( )

Commiserations Lisa...

:bounce: Justineeeeee!! :D

So how was Nadia playing Fiona?

Not a great match (at all), but it's a win without too much trouble.

How was Nadia playing? Well, from what I saw it was a very physical match... Lots of running... Nadia was serving very well indeed - she served a number of aces... Nadia saved a match point in the second set (very good for her) and she had many chances to break Silvia in the final set - she didn't manage to do this but she of course managed to win the final set tie break!! And now, the match against Justine... :)

I do not think that the newspapers are going to want me for any sports reporting!! Whaaaaa... :o ;)

Personally, Ed, I think that's a great idea. Not only would that separate the womwn from the girls, it would also put an end to the main argument against equal prize money at the majors.
She's an odd one...

:wavey:
Why else would she have married a wimp like Pierre? ;)

Christine all the way!!! :bounce:

The amazing thing for Christine is that she can raise her game at the right time...... look at how many times she was down and then came back strongly to win a match:

Defeated Vaidisova at US Open 2004 1st round after being 1-4 down in the 2nd set
Defeated Myskina at Athens 2004 after being 1-5 down in the 3rd set
Defeated Capriati at US Open 2004 after being 2-5 down in the 3rd set

Winning the 1st set after being 0-5 down against Myskina at YEC2003
Winning the 1st set after being 0-4 down against Davenport at AUS Open 2004 4th round

What more we can say about these amazing comeback records....

Actually, she probably doesn't give a flying **** as long as she can
hold that trophy again and get to French kiss that sucker to death.
