ok...well not ABSOLUTE favourite, but almost. Angela Haynes has everything, she's just amazing :hearts: power, touch, speed, feistiness, attitude, BEAUTY :hearts: and a promising future.

can't wait to see what the next few months hold for this girl because i think she's the real deal :bounce:

*edit* apparently she's arrogant, but the arrogant players seem to be the ones that do well

i think she is a little too much about muscles and swagger. but she is cool and seems to have some variety. overall i like her but i am not sure how far her game can take her. she needs to be more consistent

hell yea she's got the attitude. the way she looked at the end was classic  she was PISSED. she obviously hates to lose. but that's good. i hate to lose. so does Serena, Venus, Henin....i love that

Shes raw, and it will tell over the next couple of years to see if she can compete with the top levels of players, but a good run for her at this tournament for sure.

and i will still like her. but too much bitterness when losing a la Hantuchova will not make me love you. Not that she gives a crap at all!:o

justine hates losing but usually seems very gracious in defeat. :)

hmmm, I saw a bit of her match against Fransesca on tv and I admit I still have to be convinced by her. I hope there'll still be room left on her bandwagon for me once the good results start rolling in for her though ;)

I was also impressed with Angela at RG. Fist of all she just looks really cool, and so does her coach. she has a cool image and i like that. I have a great photo of her bandanna, cause someone got in the way, and i think i got a 2nd good photo of her. she is really focused looking and she warms up really intense like and couldnt be bothered by fans. shes not standoffish, just focused. her coach seems very focused too. ill see if i can dig up a photo of her and her bandana too.

Unfortunately, I don't think she can sustain the intensity and level of play that was shown in the Serena match. She clearly was amped up to play Serena and I doubt she would go into the same mode to play others day in day out. How else to explain her breadstick loss to Vento-Kabchi last week?

Her serve is awesome so she could become a great grasscourter. But her groundstrokes are only a weapon when she gets a short ball....in normal rallies yesterday, they looked slow. She had decent footwork but would sometimes have poor positioning in the court...she wouldn't recover and run back into the court fast enough after hitting a shot from either side.

She could be top 50 though, which is still very good.

She was certainly hugely impressive and perhaps a little unlucky in yesterdays match...one to watch certainly. :)

I love Angie! But I think this jfk post is unfortunately very accurate. I'd love to see this kid keep improving and rising; I'd love to see her bring to every match the focus and intensity she brought to yesterday's match. But I've been hoping for this for years. She has been improving but not as much as I'd have expected by now. So now I'm just hoping that she's just a late bloomer. Let's see what she can do on the hard courts this summer; maybe this great match she played will inspire her.

Best of luck to her; I hope she knows how many people would be thrilled to see her succeed. :hearts:

Angie's great, and was really impressive yesterday - I'll definitely be supporting her from now on. Don't think it's too wise to big up her chances in the future, though - as I said to SJW yesterday, there must be a reason why she doesn't have any other notable WTA results.

Still, when she's pumped up like that, she's tremendous fun to watch - I like her attitude, I like her feistiness, I love her bandanna. She totally outdressed Serena. She's gorgeous, too.

Yesterday, she was Erykah Badu to Serena's J-Lo.
