Wow, Myskina. First Wimbledon, now U.S Open. I don't want to say it, and I dont' even want to think it, but the "F" word may just start floating around here. You know, the same "F" word that people use to describe Sharapova's Wimbledon victory might be used for Myskina now that she's lost early in both Grand Slams since. Damn, this is sad. Looks like Davenport/William's road just got a lot easier.

The only F-word which comes into my mind is...How the fuck did you manage to fucking lose this fucking match against a player whos fucking 17 years old, played in her fucking sixth (!) WTA-Event, in two fucking sets, in the fucking second round...fucked up serve, fucked up backhand, you just fucked up everything!!!

So..Im feeling fucking better now :tape:

Sorry, but this is just fucking stupid...doubles...will she play???

She played well at the French, but I think you are right about one thing. The Winner for the Davey/Venus match will win the Top Half of the Draw.

MYSKINA:sad:

Sorry, Foot Fault. The Slams always have some early round casualties, and Anastasia was one of them this time, unfortunately. She'll be well rested for the fall indoor season.

I was crushed when I wasn't nominated for Backstreet, but them's the breaks, I'm sure Myskina knows how to roll with the punches. They come left, right, and below the belt! She won a major this year, it really doesn't matter what else she does, does it?

Maybe she's injured or something. But yeah there must certainly be something wrong because myskina should have beaten thet girl, even being at 40% of her potential. What's with all these qualifiers and lower ranked players coming out and testing the top players. Looks as though no top player will have it easy at this years US Open

Since when is age a factor when it comes to playing tennis??

15-35....all can beat or be beaten.

But her serving sucked..from what I can see. Plus it Very Very Windy here.

I guess you're right Ms. Lawson, but if My Venus lose on top of My Myskina losing....I will be CRUSHED.

Last time i saw Davenport beat Myskina 6-1 6-1 so she is not even a threat for her.

Oh dear. Yesterday the groundstrokes were fine and the serve was where it has been post Wimbledon. Today the serve was better in the first set and worse in the second and the groundstrokes were off. She couldn't get a winner past Anna and went for too much or just hit a UE anyway. Strategic thinking head was still in bed and consistency was just not there. Time to rest the serving arm and take a holiday to get the mental energy back.

Anna was amazing. Fast, smart, kept on going for it. serves well too.Given that Justine, Lindsay, Momo, Venus and Jen have been troubled by lesser opposition you wonder who else she might have beaten today.

Looks like Justine is the gainer as I think Myskina had a better chance against her than Lindsay has - Lindsay's head was off in places today and Justine has her tough it out look back after the Olympics. Sveta is motoring though - which potential victim did she draw of Venus, Lindsay or Justine? Must have another look.......

Shes obviously still hurting from the Justine loss, despite the scoreline she didnt play that well in the 1st round either
