YES, I am shocked by the loss of the second set, but I have total confidence behind JHH. And Obziler is playing well.

She played very bad in the second set, she's not feeling well in her body right now I think. The service-games are the biggest problem and her opponent just plays "everything or nothing".

ARE YOU BLEEPING KIDDING ME  ?? When the Big Babe Slayer went up 5-3 in the second set, I advanced her IN INK on my drawsheet. Now she has an unnecessary fight on her hands.

Her 2nd serve sucks today.

Wind.

Getting frustrated playing a consistent, patient, ball-return machine.

Wow, this is great, finally someone else will be #1 in the world:D...still too early though:).
And some people think she is the queen of hardcourt, far away from Linz from what I see.

I'm getting Kapros flash back :scared:
At least she was in no position (nor condition) to win the Kapros match.

But being up 5-3 in the second set? :banghead:

She's just tired...hopefully she can pull this one out and get some rest.

But if she's this fatigued now, how will she be in future rounds...if she gets there...against tougher, more aggressive opposition?

She does look a little winded, which is very surprising. She should be well over the virus by now, although apparently she's suffering from a cold now.

Tzipi is playing well, but not THAT well. She's basically hitting everything back patiently down the middle and waiting for Justine to miss. She's like an Antonella Serra-Zanetti version 2.0. But hey, that's all she needs to do now so more power to her.

Wild unforced errors, inconsistent ball tosses that look too short or drift off to the side... She's not even missing her first serves consistently - misses them in a variety of ways.

Zippy's even taking her chances now....after having just been content to keep the balls in.

Catches a volley EXTREMELY LATE.

Backhand unforced errors. Foot faults!

And Zippy's playing very well.

How do you pronounce Tzipi? :retard:

Justine is playing really terrible missing a lot of shots but she is fighting if she pulls this off she will have been very lucky against a more experienced player she would have been toast.

Tzipi is playing well, but not THAT well. She's basically hitting everything back patiently down the middle and waiting for Justine to miss. She WAS being extremely patient...in the beginning. But now she's taking her chances.

...might have been better to stick with hitting down the middle though.

Give her time to find her game!
She's running out of time.

Can't buy a first serve.

Obziler is just waiting for Justine 's errors, but she plays consistent. And for justine: nothing works today.

cynicole
Sep 2nd, 2004, 06:44 PM
Oy, that wind shot that went in for Obziler. Makes you think luck is on her side today.

But she is playing well.

Justine certainly isn't....sooo many dinky, awful unforced errors.

And what's up with Myskina dropping the first set?

Filip!
Sep 2nd, 2004, 06:48 PM
If she wins today, Pat will be very very very angry at Juju, so this can help her in the next round!

I amend my earlier statement about Obziler playing well. Her serve is as hopeless as Justine's in this match.

Wow, this is great, finally someone else will be #1 in the world...still too early though.
And some people think she is the queen of hardcourt, far away from Linz from what I see.really? you really judge a player for one match.
Despite her form at the olympics she's been out for 4 months, and she has a cold,
and she beat Lindsay easily in Indian Wells.
And if you had a clue about tennis you would know that Justine struggling in early rounds means nothing. At the Australian Open she struggled against Santangelo and won the damn thing.
Justine always has sloppy matches in early rounds, she is not like Lindsay, when Davenport is playing well she does it from the beginning, if you see her struggling in early rounds she won't make it, Justine is not like that, she is like Venus, a poor performance means nothing.
If she wins the tournament, she will still be # 1.

with the US Open points off
Davenport is behind her in points, she needs to do better to overtake her.
Mauresmo needs to get to the final if Justine wins, Mauresmo did drop a set yesterday to a low ranked player, and unlike Justine Mauresmo is not a player that normally peaks at the end of the tournament.
