View Full Version : US OPEN... who is planning to visit Lindsay?

Aug 27th, 2004, 02:02 AM
I was wondering guys.... which of you is planning to go to the Open this year. And if so... when are u going?

To be honest, I've been meaning to give Lindsay (through some of you) a message I've written, but for a reason or another, it just wasn't possible. I have never been able to watch Lindsay play live and probably will not do so at least this year. So if she retires I would be really sad if she never got to read my message.
I know some of you could not care less, but this would mean a lot to me.

Me and Kyle (LindsayRulez) wanted to give her like a commemoration book, but we ran out of time and i guess we were also confused on how we could pass the book to Lindsay at BOTW. We didn't end up doing it but i was upset because we actually had the opportunity to give her the book when she took a picture with us!!!!!!! oh my gosh :( i wish we had taken our chances and just went for it

I will be visiting the US Open every day, all of the day via SKY Sports interactive service and will be taping every single one of Lindsay's matches and can't wait:worship:

Joaco just sent me her message to Lindsay. I guess, if others wants me to send her our messages, I can print it and compile it in a folder and I can give it to her at the US Open. I'm sure i will get a chance to meet her in 3 days and if not my friend will stay there for 3 more days than I do.

You never guess what!?!? I actually got Sky Sports this year :woohoo: I managed to persuade my mum, but the deal is, I have to pay the extra 8 permonth for SS2 and 3 but that's OK by me :D

I only have NTL Cable though, so I have yet to find out if NTL are doing Sky Sports interactive this year. I know NTL have been doing interactive with the BBC during Wimbledon and the Olympics........I guess I'll find out at 4pm today :bounce:

:wavey: Hi Rache, its good if you can watch the Open interatively as that way you get chance to watch all Lindsay's matches. With Eurosport's coverage you have to put up with what they decide to show! Not long now, just under an hour. Expect I will wath Serena today. Lindsay tomorrow, another day to wait.

Sorry I owe you an email, I know, will be in touch soon as I can.

Hey everybody!! Long time, no see. I've been busy starting law school and stuff but I did get to go out to the Open yesterday and got to watch Lindsay practice for an hour. She was hitting with her coach and her husband scurried around picking up balls. She seems to be in good spirits, but didn't stop to sign autographs or pose for pictures this year. I hope she can go all the way!!! Good luck Lindsay!! And it is good to see TOP is still going strong.

 no interactive with NTL I'm afraid, so I better hope that Lindsay stays on a show court and doesn't play during a Tim Henman match or I won't be able to see her play. I think Sky Sports will show most of her matches since she is one of the faves going into the US Open.

BTW, Lindsay is third on Arthur Ashe tomorrow against Lubomira Kurhajkova, so around about 8 or 9pm UK time....although sadly, I'll be at work until 10pm tomorrow :( and for the rest of the week. Hopefully Lindsay's match will begin around about 10pm :D

GO LINDSAY! :bounce:

Thanks guys - unfortunely I didn't see it  (see my post in the US Open thread on this forum). I didn't get home until 10.50pm so even if it started at 10pm like I was hoping, I would have missed the 50min long genius play of Lindsay D! Hopefully they might show highlights tomorrow......if not I can always look forward to the second round :)

GO LINDSAY - Keep up this great play! :woohoo:
