View Full Version : Top 32 doubles draw - VOTE!!!

Dec 13th, 2001, 12:51 PM
I picked the top 32 ranked doubles players, and drew names out of a hat randomly to make teams, which were then seeded according to combined ranks, and then placed into a draw.

Please vote for either who you would want to, or think would win.

Davenport/Sanchez-Vicario d. (1) Likhovtseva/Tauziat 6-1 6-2
(5) L.Huber/Suarez d. Callens/Fusai 7-6 6-3
(8) Clijsters/Martinez d. Husarova/Rittner 6-2 6-1
(3) Raymond/Testud d. Srebotnik/Vinci 6-1 6-3
(4) Dokic/Shaughnessy d. Arendt/Pratt 6-4 6-2
(6) Kournikova/Stubbs d. Grande/Schett 6-2 6-3
Hingis/Sugiyama d. (7) Krizan/Ruano-Pascual 6-3 6-2
Coetzer/McNeil d. (2) Black/Po-Messerli 6-3 0-6 6-4

Interesting that Coetzer/McNeil ended up together and that the top 2 teams are just two normal teams mixed!

Guys, I was thinking - what would u think if we had a series of these vote tournaments, where the teams are always picked at random for each tournament. And there would be points awarded to every player at tournaments, which would be used to work out team seedings. Then we could see which players seem to do well regardless of partner (as we would have individual rankings?).

Would anyone want to have something like that and be willing to continuously vote? Just want to know before I start it and only get like 5 votes. Thanks!
