Great work !

Lindsay has Kim , Justine and Jenny missing from her list and i think of those three she hasn't played two (kim n jen ) this year

Impressive but if Kim would have been healthy then i think she would be up there too :)

I think the Top Twenty list is more informative than the "Top Ten" one, because membership of the Top Ten has been so fluid that it distorts the results a lot. Beat Venus one day and it counts, another day and it doesn't.

Interesting. Is this against players who were top 20 at the time as I assume - or against players who have been in the top 20 in the last year? I think Momo is ahead of Davenport and davenport leads Myskina 26-22-18 on the other count.

Out of the 19 Top 20 players entered into the US Open, only three did not make it to the round of 32. Myskina, Molik, and Sprem were the three casualties.

Would it be possible for you to add to the list the actual number of matches each player has played against Top 20 players so we can compare the win/loss ratios??
For example Maria S has played 14 times against Top 20 players and won 7.
Cheers :hatoff:

Its interesting if you look at the number of top 10 players beaten within these totals. Lindsay has the highest total of 13 wins followed by Nastya, Sveta, Elena and Momo all on 8 wins and behind them is Maria on 7.. Lindsay is way ahead but did it without making a major final. Momo got a lot more top 20 wins but only did as well against the top 10 as the people ranked below her down to 6 in the rankings.

There is dominance but not at the crucial times. Dominance but not against the necessary players and dominance on the right day against whoever gets in the way - injury aided or not.

Another argument for Lindsay as player of the year ( or, given the 13- 8 or 7 wins margin, an argument against anyone else)

Serena also had 8 wins over top 10.

Venus beat Sprem in one of the clay tournaments. That would giver her 8 Top 20.
