I'm glad she didn't double bagel Pratt though, cause you know what "going down in history" does to you the next round. :scared: :tape:

How was her game? Did she play even better than vs Vento-Kabchi?

I set my VCR but tennis was on interactive.....got equestrian and gymnastics instead.................

She was really on fire. I know her usual critics will lessen her victory saying Pratt didn't even try or whatever. But she was really on 90% of the time. And she finished with an ace just like yesterday. :bounce:

She finished with a winning serve yesterday, not an ace ;)

She really was on fire today! She was aggressive on every ball, and sometimes I was thinking "She's playing too good"

She's confident on her shots, sometimes she misses some, but she keeps trying and the next one is a winner... I think we can say she's back!

In fact the only thing we don't know is how she will hold on if she's taken into a long match with endless rallies. If she overcomes that kind of hurdle we'll know for sure the real Justine :hearts: is back in town.

Yeah, you're right!

However, it's a good thing she has spent only 45 minutes on the court today. If she has to play a 3-hour match, it will be difficult for her on the next day, but as long as she keeps winning in an hour, it's cool ;)

Agreed. But she'll need that kind of rough going at some stage if only not to grow over-confident and be fully prepared for the US Open. I want her to at least defend her title in the final more than anything then. :bounce:

I'm not sure, but I think that virus may have beena blessing in disguise for Justine. She's VERY happy to be back on court, it seems! :) :bounce: :) :bounce:

“Measuring myself with Nicole won’t be easy...” Justine showed herself as the real number one of the world by beating Nicole Pratt (http://www.henin-hardenne.be/bin/head2head.asp?lang=en&playerid=91) in no time in two devastating sets 6-1 6-0.

http://www.henin-hardenne.be/bin/newspics/pic179.jpgJustine is feeling better and better in her skin and on the courts. That’s what she proved in today’s match.
She started to serve and in no time, there was a 4-0 score on the score board. Beautiful forehands, backhand winners and nice net points…Nicole could only experience it.
After a slight lack of concentration was the 5th game of this set for the Australian. After that, Justine got her act together and won the two following games.

In the second set, Justine kept pace. Pratt didn’t move at all and Justine kept on raising her level of play. Her serve went well and she kept on hitting winners.
3-0, 4-0,…Justine didn’t even begrudge the last two games to the Australian. The match ended with a beauty of an ace.
Justine won her ticket to the quarters in 45 minutes.

Final score: 6-1 6-0.

Quarter final VS Mary Pierce

In her quarter final on Thursday, Justine will meet Frenchwoman Mary Pierce (http://www.henin-hardenne.be/bin/head2head.asp?lang=en&playerid=147), WTA 28.
Pierce won earlier today from the leading Olympic champ Venus Williams in two sets 6-4 6-4.
Justine and Mary met each other twice. The last meeting was at the Championships at Wimbledon (http://www.henin-hardenne.be/bin/matchreports.asp?id=297&Lang=en) in the year 2003. Justine won that fourth round two sets 6-3 6-3.

Justine's match is scheduled 2nd on Thursday after the match MOYA- MASSU which will start around 5 pm. local time. Normally, Justine will come in action around 6.30-7.00 pm. local time, that is around 5.30-6.00 Paris time.

W'ree thrilled because even on her best days, it was never like this
in round 3. The BOSS has been known to think about Pierre Yves
and other things during matches. She's not particulary known for
giving out bagels.

MR. Molik,
its only pratt indeed but this is just the third match for justine since the virus. We are so excited because unlike in RG, we find justine so refreshed and fitter than ever.

We are seeing good signs and we are celebrating!

Now i hope you will celebrate Alicia's win too, i am rooting for her also and she did a good job disposing of Lisa. Alicia is on a roll now!
