Had Nastya been playing with Bepa, this wouldn't have happened.
They've been partners all year, and then some genius decides to put Lena D and Nastya together in the Olympics. They only played San Diego together, then off to the Olympics. Lena hasn't been playing much doubles this year to begin with, so I think it was an unwise pairing.

They gave em a good run though and they only had 3 DFs so serve cant have been all that bad Nastya must have knackered after that hard 2nd rnd match too...

Well im gutted for Alyona, she really likes the Olympics, and its a shame to have such a shitty one.
As for the Japanese paring I hope they continue this run of form on, I hope Shino can get a medal, it might give her the confidense to earn her first ever title :bounce:

GO AI AND SHINO!!!!!!!! I really think they have an excellent shot at the Gold. Look at their results in Montreal and they easily defeated Likhovtseva/Zvonareva and Pierce/Mauresmo!
GO AI AND SHINO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A very disappointing campaign for Lena D in Athens.
Hopefully she can regroup a little before the US Open.
