That was so so bad!!! She could have easily lost this match. Welcome to Nastyaīs very own "Unforced Error"-Party!!! Entrance only for guests who have more than 70 (!) unforced errors.

At least she hit 35 winners. I hope the next match will be better...heart attack material!

Myskina faced match point at the French Open. Maybe this will wake her up.

Yeah, but Nastya had 35 winners to Brandiīs 23...but it was close, definetly. Nastya was really lucky out there today thatīs for sure, but luck is always a big factor, so...sorry to all Brandi fans;)

wow nice effort Kristina :)

Nastya has shown a knack for pulling out close matches even when she's not at the top of her game. Congrats.

*lol*

AWWW MAN! So Close And Yet So Far Away...well at least I'm happy now that many of you saw the Kristina is no pushover and took Myskina to 3 sets.

Now if only she could start beating Top players as opposed to just making them sweat...profusely.

I LOVE YOU KRISTINA, Keep It Up!

Nastya :) but got to stop playing 3 setters :o

i guess she wants to keep her record again for most 3 setters played in 2004 (from top 100)

Maybe now her haters will believe that she has some problems with the shoulder and the rib. She was broken 5 times won 49% of her first serve and never won a game on serve to 0 or 15.:fiery:

Poor Nastya what is wrong with you:sad:

That doesn't mean she played better, Nastya played the bigger points better and deserved to win. Well done Nastya :)

I am convinced, Daniilidou will manage to beat Maleeva in front of her home crowd and then she will kick Myskina`s ass... Got it?!?

Hmmm...no. As long as it wasnīt an injury which made her play so bad today, she will win against her next opponent, no matter if itīs Dalalalaldou (I love this name!) or Maggie. I was just a bit confused cause you wrote Eleni and then the other person Maleeva and I just thought, that they havenīt played yet...thatīs why I asked.

She didn't even qualify. The team was picked before Wimbledon so Kuznetsova and Petrova got picked before her. I agree with Lemonskin though. Sharapova would have done better against Brandi and against Molik. I think the russians made a mistake not picking her.

Anyway, well done to Nastya.

Nastya had some problems with her neck today... don't know it that bothered her tto much today. She was very pissed off - at point she screamed at the umpire: "Don't even try to tell me you didn't see that ball!!!" and once she thought she had served an ace and it was called wide and she rolled her eyes and was like "Whatever". I'm sure she's glad she pulled through today. It was close.

People People. Give It Up, what's up with all the drama and the fighing geez. It was just a close match, with harsh conditions. Kristina's foot was wonky...and Nastya's game was our of sorts. That explains the high UE count.

Nastya won...good for her, and for Kristina it'll boost her confidence taking a top tenner to 3 sets.

Now MOVE ON to at least the next match up...and chill.

didn't brandi lose to sharapova in a tight three setter last year?
