What do you guys think?

I think in the same place she is... until she boosts up her serve and start winning slams... sadly by then Sharapova will already be unstoppable...

if you say top 40 doesn't that include all of 1-40?

Aug 16th, 2004, 09:55 PM
Definitely in the top 20.

ti-online, it means 31-40. :)

I think she will drop to about 11 or so. I think that if Venus & Serena can become healthy and I think Kuznetsova, Sharapova, & Zvonaverva will move slightly ahead of her. Unless she greatly improves her serve, I don't see her going any higher.

I say top 20 that's inbetween 11 and 20 by the way. I'd like her to stay top 10 though.

I love Mary

I hope top 5.
She will defend only RG and Miami final, no other points to lose in that part of season.

I want her to be in the top 5!

yeah but that is the kind of player she is. She never has consistent results. She has always been a hot or cold, hit or miss player. However, her big clutch results should keep her between 6 and 10 for a good part of the remainder of her career.

She'll be in the Top 5 for sure! Kim will be finally entering her groove after this years lay off, but she'll be out of the Top 5. I'm not sure about Venus and Serena, but I expect them to both be in the mid/bottom half of the Top 10. Sharapova will finally be coming into her own, and Elena will have worked on her serve susbstantially. Amelie and Myskina I expect to both be at the top, Amelie having the occasional injury issue every now and then but producing stellar results when shes healthy. Myskina still consistent and holding steady. I expect the Top 5 to be Myskina, Mauresmo, Serena or Venus, Elena, and possibly Sharapova to round out the Top 5.

i would not be surprised if she stayed in top 7, but 11 to 14 is also good.

Top 7 definitely, maybe Top 5 (all dependent on this years off season and the fruits of her labour).

good luck Elena :D

I find her first round results scary. They've been occuring for a while now. I think she'll drop out of top 15.

I don't know. It's all up to her toss.

Aug 17th, 2004, 07:16 PM
I dunno, but really hope it will be the same as it is now, or it will get better:)

Who knows, maybe she will be No. 1 :) I feel sorry for her fans after RG, they must of thought YES, she is finally showing what she is capable of. Sad that her results have been inconsistent after that.
