Flawless (at least according to the stats), Nastya won 89% of the netpoints, 1st serve points winner 83%, 16 winners to Sernaīs 4...

Go gold!!!

Wonder how bad (or should I say how real) the injury is??????

Anyway.... its just good luck for Myskina that the one who draw Molik was Dementieva instead of herself.... otherwise she would have gone already!!! And then she would have using her (what we call) "injury" as an excuse to make up the loss!!!! :p

She certainly doesn't seem injured now. Why go to a tournement then embarrass everyone involved in it by pulling out when there's clearly fuck all wrong with her.

I donīt care as long as she wins!!! Bottom line.

What does this have to do with Capriati?

Myskina has some more explaining to do. If one of the WS had pulled this, it would be an international incedent. ;) Anastasia definitely dissed the Idea Prokom tournament and fans.

C'mon, we all know what's up. No need for me to explain anything.

Besides, I think I just developed an acute rib injury. Therefore, I must withdraw from this thread so that I may, in future, contribute to more productive threads which are a real priority to me now. :wavey:

Exactly. That's just what everyone says to me when I say something. I said I didn't think Venus would win the US open. They all say Jen's shit too. I said I knew Hingis played doubles with Anna. They all say Jen's shit. Now I say that Nastya's faking an injury and someone else says Jen's shit. They just can't take criticism. If somebody with another player on their sig says something bad about Jen I don't have to say their players shit, for no apparent reason. So don't bad mouth Jen in the middle of a Nastya forum.

all you people who keep hating on nastya need to take their jealousy elsewhere....

i know you all try to find reasons to hate on myskikna and sopot isn't a good way to do it. Have you ever heard of minor injuries??? you know, twisted ankle, strained muscle....... they need rest... not frickin' surgery. 3 days of ice and rest was probably all she needed, not to withdraw from the u.s. open and olympics and have surgery.
her body isn't falling apart like the williams' sisters and clijsters.... she just needed rest.
and 2 games in one day would have definitely hurt her....
you guys crack me up....... i apologize on behalf on nastya for whoopin' serna in the first game... i'm sorry she didn't squeak by in 3 sets but i can't help she's that talented and focused for the olympic games. gold is in nastya's near future.... don't hate on her because your favorite player isn't there because they are seriously injured or are just scared girls who are afraid of terrorist attacks.

I think that wasnīt offensive to those players. I think deckham just tried to say that Nastya wasnīt seriously injured like the players mentioned above, but that she just had a minor ache which doesnīt need treatments like the players mentioned above had to receive....you know like the difference between a headache and a hole in the head...bad comparison but you get it;)

well i kind of see what you're saying, but it's the olympics and she has now rested her shoulder... so there is no need for suspicion. her serve today proved that it's gotten better... her serving in sopot (as told to us by cool olga) was very strained and was broken a lot. now, after rest, she didn't even face a break point. looks like suspicion just flew out the window...

its wise to know something about a player before you trash them. She trashed Sharapova by a similar score and then couldn't keep her serve in her next match and couldn't compete with Lindsay in the final. In Canada her service was off every round and she lost to Elena L because it went as low as 32% ist serves in at the start of the third set. In Sopot she lost service games to players she would never lose service games to. its quite simple- its an injury that comes and goes - hardly unique to her., Today it seems was a go day.

I love Mary

(Oh, and about Myskina's Sopot withdrawal... No big deal. She has a minor injury that comes and goes, and she didn't need to play two matches in one day before leaving for Athens. It may not look good, but Anastasia has her priorities straight, and I think a little rest so her shoulder would be ready for the Olympics was more important than a Sopot title.)

Same here. Actually I always hate matches between Justine and Nastya cause they're my two loved ones. Even though Justine is my number one I always feel pissed off if Nastya loses. Anyway should Justine and Nastya make it to the semis we should have a beautiful showdown. These two girls have many things in common including a very subtle style of game and they've always turned in a good performance when facing each other. Plus whoever wins I know the other one will still have a chance for the bronze. So I guess this will be less frustrating than usual to me :wavey:
