View Full Version : LINDSAY BACK TO No.4

I am a bit worried with Lindsay dropping to number 4 and not playing the Olympics. As she is not playing she will gain any points and as the number 4 player in the world will be most affected at the U.S Open if Serena gets a special seeding!
If she is bumped to 5th seed, which is one thing Lindsay herself said she was trying to avoid, then it make it a lot harder for her in the draw!

She doesn't care where she is seeded, so it really doesn't matter. She's not losing any points either, and she's going to start flying up the rankings in the fall.

There is always someone who knows better than everyone else on this forum! Has anybody else noticed that? LOL
It's a post mate, not a life and death struggle for popularity by knowing what the players are "thinking" every second of the day.
Geez, lighten up!

You're the one who was proclaiming what she was thinking in your original post. I'm saying that her US Open seeding shouldn't matter. She can beat everyone there no matter where she is seeded. And the title of this thread was "LINDSAY BACK TO No.4". So I discuss Lindsay's ranking come this fall. And I'm not trying to enter a "popularity contest". I would be much nicer if I wanted to do that.

You said, and i quote, "she doesn't care where she is seeded". How would you know that?
You really need to lighten up and not be so defensive mate! Just chill, it's called sarcasm.

I totally agree Andrew. I think she will be No 5 seed at Open as if Justine is ok at the Olympics she surely will play at Flushing Meadows. The same with Serena. I think Lindsay can cope wherever she is seeded if she carries on playing as she did in the last 3 tournaments.

I don't DISGAREE with the fact that she will win no matter what if she continues to play at the level shae has been playing. What i am suggesting is that she may not look forward to playing Venus in the third round, then serena in the fourth round, then Justine in the semis etc etc.
If she is seeded fourth or higher it simply makes her draw a little easier that's all!
A Grand Slam is totally different to a Tier 2 event on a number of levels.

This year Lindsay has defeated everyone who will be seeded about her, except for Justine. And in Lindsay's current for, she can take that.

And please not LethalLindsay, that because you are in the negative rep numbers, all you give me is a little grey square, which does nothing. Thanks. :)

You see we found out about this last week and at first i was pissed but then I was just like... Linds will beat anyone so if they decide to put yher in some poor saps quarters then i feel bad for them.

Serena will have her special ranking most likely until the end of the year. She has eight non-slam and non-ITF events to use it in, and she has used it in six. She has two left, so I imagine she'll use them for two indoor tournaments this fall.

It doesn't matter if you only got a grey square. You're a wank, you'll always be a wank, and it was you who started this whole five year old's temper tantrum by doinf it to me first.
It doesn't bother me what you do mate, I just love tennis. You just love the attention and being a smart-ass. You wank.

My original post stated that if Lindsay is ranked 4th going into the U.S Open and Serena gets a special seeding then Lindz will be seeded 5th not 4th and therefore make her draw a bit harder for her, and you are saying that this is wrong?!
You cannot correct correct information you wank.

Can you stop calling me a wank? Am I calling you names?

Here was your original post:

I said that Lindsay said nothing about not wanting to be seeded fifth, in fact, she says she doesn't care about the seedings. Then, you went full out attack on me.

And you know Lindsay didn't say that because................................?

And you didn't say that she never said it.............you said she does not care where she is seeded there is a difference.

She always says she doesn't care where she is seeded. Please provide me with the quote saying otherwise.

You provide me with proof that she ALWAYS says it?

In fact she stated at this years Australian that she, like most of the other players, was not impressed with the ongoing nature of special rankings as she was the one who got bumped to 5th seed.

Tracy Austin also talked about the seedings for the U.S Open over the Open Series and in particular at the end of the Rogers on Sunday and she stated AGAIN that Lindsay had mentioned the seeding situation to her.

You are right about one thing though, you aren't calling me names, instead YOU started attacking me by being critical of my original post and then compounded it by acting like a petulant 5 year old by giving me a bad rep.! So unless you show another side to yourself (metaphorically of course) you will be a WANK!

PS: It is not wise to make broad sweeping statements.....such as she ALWAYS says that. you don't KNOW that she ALWAYS says that you are just assuming that she does.

Dear TOPs,

First of all, I am sorry that I have not been here earlier. But anyway...

I have always been proud of the fact that we TOPs (most anyway) don't act like most fans out there who would throw nasty words at each other at the slightest provocation. This thread comes to me as a surprise.

I don't find what I am seeing here funny. In fact, I find it apalling.

This goes to all of us and not just within this forum. I would hope do not personally attack your fellow poster just because he or she is just giving her opinion. And in turn do not take objective criticism as personal attacks if they really aren't.

It is also advised that you do not readily respond to every negative thing that is said to you. In other words, if you choose between making another personal attack (thereby provoking another attack and so forth, furthering the inanity of the conversation) and keeping quiet, choose the more mature, significantly better latter.

The Tower Of Power clan (and forum) was created as a place where fellow fans can happily share ideas, feelings, etc about Lindsay and not as a place to have pointless fights with your fellow TOP.

After thinking about it, I have decided to delete the ONLY post which I feel was over the edge on my part. And if you have already read it, I suggest that you read the POSTS AND POSTS before that one, where you will see LethalLindsay's rude comments which were used simply to provoke a fight. The fact is that this thread should have been locked days ago, and I'm not sure why it is not locked now.
