Maria never played mixed doubles in slams. Would you like her to ? If yes, who should she partner with ?

It'll never happen...

...but Hewitt. Coz he's an Aussie, and my favourite mens player.

Kim wouldn't appreciate for sure.
But Hewitt partnered Serena years ago (in the aussie open, moreover)...

I'd like to see Maria pairing with one tall guy : Mario Ancic (lol Mario and Maria !) , Marat Safin.
For the fun, also a pair with Guga ( "whooo - eeeeeh ! ... hieeeeehhh !"). The opponents would be pissed.

I think the best player to play with Maria would be ..... ME!! :haha: :haha:
Though I think I'd be the weak point in the team and the opponents would quickly work that out and start hitting everything to me and we'd very quickly be double bageled! :rolls:
Yes im joking, sure would be fun though :)

Now seriously I think Hewitt, Roddick or Ancic would make good partners for Maria in mixed doubles because their high power, fast games would suit Maria's style very well.

Roger Federer- Maria deserves to play alongside the best.

Well, I'm not sure Roddick would be a good doubles player, he's not a great volleyer.

Welll... the most probable player that she will be with is with Juan Carlos Ferrero... they both ar efriends and even train have train together several times... that is the biggest probability...

Sjeng Schalken of course! That would seriously increase the chance of their matches broadcasted here...:D:p

REally? Why is that?

REally? Why is that? Well, since Sjeng Schalken is from The Netherlands, I reckon tv channels here will much rather broadcast a match with Sjeng Schalken in it then with, for example, Juan Carlos Ferrero...

Max Myrnij :)

Max Myrnij :) Max is a wonderful player, both singles and doubles...He's got powerful shots but still a good 'touch'...Also, he seems like a really nice guy to me...And he and Maria will be able to talk in Russian! Now that'll teach all the "Maria isn't really Russian" critizisers!

anyways.. the most possible one is Ferrero for sure....

anyways.. the most possible one is Ferrero for sure.... And that has nothing to do with you being of Spanish descent...right?;)

You are right... I have French and Spanish ancestors... but I am not having that opinion not only because of that...

I have read on parties that Maria attends of tournaments, she always go to talk to Ferrero and other spanish players... Also AMria have trained at equilette a couple of times... Equilette is Ferrero's tennis academy also he is the host...

Before Roland Garros... Maria went to Equilette to train for Roland Garros and for Wimbledon also... and without mentioning that Ferrero was the only famous or good player on that academy...

Juan Carlos is a wonderful player, there's no doubt about that...The problem could be however, that Juan Carlos is doing too well in the singles...Sometimes you see that players who are doing good in the singles in a tournament (mostly in Grand Slams), they either withdraw from the doubles in order to get some rest or just don't play good in the doubles, because of fatigue...
Anyways, Ferrero would be a nice double partner for her...

Its the same problem with Federer. He is the best male player by a country mile so he is unlikely to commit to doubles anytime soon. Its a shame, because his game would be perfect for doubles- great volleying, anticipation and court coverage.
