She's still not at her 100% level, but Chanda is getting there. The harder she plays the better she gets. And now that Chanda gets to play in her first ever Olympics she'll have the extra drive to get the gold!

Chanda is playing in Athens! :D Lindsay hates Zina apparently and refuses to play on the team. That's just what I heard from Lindsay fans.

Chanda does not have a bad draw at all! :D She faces Samantha Stosur in the first round, a very inconsistent player who only has a serve, Cara Black, or Tina Pisnik horrible players with crazy spins, and then Amelie Mauresmo a player she has dominated their last two matches. Well I won't go looking past the 3R, but I'm telling you, she's going to go somewhere! :D

Chanda has unexpectedly been given two opportunities to medal. Let's see her cash in them both. The fates owe her a couple. Come out focused and ready to play, Chanda! You can do it! Best of luck!

Chanda Rubin (USA) def. Samantha Stosur (AUS): 6-2 6-7(8) 6-0

Congrats Chanda! :D I think I figured out why Chanda lost a set, from ESPN:

Yesterday's doubles loss was disappointing. Especially since the team would undoubtedly have improved from round to round as they gelled. Even so, they won the same number of games and points as their opponents. If they had just converted one of those early break points in the 3rd set....

But that's behind us now. Let's hope Chanda can put it behind her and focus for her match today. She's got Cara, who is much better than her ranking. Chanda will need to be focused. You can do it, Chanda! Best of luck!

Chanda Rubin (USA) def. Cara Black (ZIM): 6-4 3-6 6-3

Nice win Chanda. :) Don't understand how you lost a set but such is life. Next up is Mauresmo who Chanda leads 3-1 head-to-head! Good luck girl!

This is it. This is the big match Chanda hasn't been able to get through so far in her comeback. And she's facing her toughest opponent to date. She'll need to play the best tennis she's played since her return. It's a familiar opponent, and Chanda has enjoyed recent success against her. I hate that they have to meet so early. If Chanda can get through this match, it will bode well, not only for this event, but the rest of the year. A good start will certainly help matters. You can do it, Chanda! Best of luck!

Happiness ensues Chanda :inlove: Let you mind envelope you body, k? thanx :bigwave:

Seriously, I believe wind will be the biggest factor in the Rubin/Momo match. If it is windy (as it has been all week), Chanda will have a tough time. On top of that, wind + Momo's moonball forehand:tape: = moonball madness for Chanda. Whatever the case, good luck to both ladies and let the better gal win :worship:
