Hmm I kept reading about Lindsay would be number 2 if she made the final. Guess they forgot to add Myskina to the equation.

maybe they never thought Myskina would reach the final? she's the silent operator that brings great results.:worship:

I, for one, am surprised Nastya is in the final out of all the Russians in the draw.
Even though she is the highest ranked Russian of them all, but who would've thought:D.
Isnt she just full of surprises.....

Well Lindsay would have been the outright no 2 had Mauresmo and Suarez not been upset in their first round matches - because a lot of people assumed Lindsay would have had to meet one of the two on her way to the final.

But because of their losses, the QPs that she could have earned went out the window <g>

As of tomorrow, two things are certain:

1. Winner of the final will be the new no 2.
2. Lindsay will hold onto the no 1 position in the Race to the WTA Championship until after the Olympics (since she has a 600+ poiints lead over Mauresmo and a 1300+ lead over the no 8 position)
