Well, good choice on the poll, since you have included the year end top 3 junior players in 2002 on it:).
I guess you add Sam there just to show your patriotism;).
Well, I like Maria's game a lot, but Vera is the one that hits harder, she'll probably get there first.

sam has a lot of talent, big serve, big groundies has nice movement and some speed she has the ability to volley (however needs to work on her volley's a lot imo), she is quite raw atm i believe, i honestly believe she has the talent to make the top 20 she just needs to work hard. plus there wasnt really many players to choose from and yes i am aussie and so is she ;)

Serves seem to be signature weapons for the Australians
And on that alone, she is better than the Russians, but other than that, she is okay. She'll probably develop later like Iroda did. And she is 20, older than many top 20 already. I dont see her as an up and comer compared to the other players on the poll.
Still, I wish her the best:). And GO SAM:)

In terms of tennis maturity, Samantha is not like a 20-year-old. Her game and mentality is slow to progress. She might not make the most of her abilities until much later in her career.

I'd say the first to make it into the Top 50 might be Barbora Strycova, mainly because she's the closest in ranking. But she'll have to do it this year as she faces the task of backing up a standout 2004 next year.

 Stosur is going to loose in her career...beacause Aussie Legends still think they are too good to coach.....obviously....Seeya Ellwood, Drake-Brockman, Klim...with Dominikovich and Wheeler on the way out. We are now where we are in Womens Tennis here because people don't want to put back into the life that scored them a 5 bedroom mansion.

I don't blame Dokic for leaving.
