Venus was undefeated on the clay courts, winning Charleston and Warsaw, before getting INJURED in the SEMIFINALS of her THIRD EVENT only POINTS AWAY FROM WINNING THE MATCH.

Lindsay is undefeated on the summer hardcourts, winning Stanford and Carson, before getting INJURED in the SEMIFINALS of her THIRD EVENT only POINTS AWAY FROM WINNING THE MATCH.

Coincidence??

What the hell:rolleyes:......Your posts about Venus is getting tiresome:rolleyes:.
I hope Lindsay wont suck like her...........

It is going to be a hard fought match for her....I hope.....in the final.
But I think Venus will be the only one who make it close this summer, nicely done.

Let's not forget that Venus said she would try to get ready for the final as well.

You never know the severity of an injury as soon as it happens.

Just like Serena's knee two days ago. She looked fine after that dropshot, started limping a but a few games later, then was getting treatment the whole night, and pulled out the next day.

That is a coincidence, but Lindsay said she should be able to play tomorrow.

But then again, Venus said the same thing.

which knee was it? i'm getting so fucking worried about these players. Linzi doesn't need an injury right now.

Any update on her condition for the final? She's got one more match before she can rest for three weeks.

The Yahoo article did say she seemed to be fading in the second set a bit.

I wonder if is the same knee that bothered her against dementieva at the FO. Isn't that the reson she wants to call it quits at the end of the year.

The Yahoo article did say she seemed to be fading in the second set a bit.

This was from a SportsTicker article:
"This would be unbelievable, me winning three in a row and put myself in such a great summer," added the former world No. 1, who improved to 46-6 in 2004. "I hope my body allows me to do it. I have one more match to go."

That, however, that depends on whether Davenport can recover from a jammed right knee suffered late in the match when she was wrong-footed by the Russian.

Davenport is relieved to know the injury is not related to a surgery she had on the same knee in January 2002.

"Coming off the court it looks like very little swelling the knee cap, not my problem area, not the bones and the cartilage," she said. "It looks like the pain was unrelated to my previous surgery.

"Right now, I'm really relieved from that. I feel very lucky that it could have been a lot worse. I feel very optimistic for tomorrow. I anticipate being ready to go."
