those numbers cannot be right, I know Lindsay made more than 17 errors in that match; and I KNOW Serena made more than 10 errors

WTF?

:retard:

How does that show talent? You could not look at them stats and say the person was talented.

And I find it hard to believe Lindsay commited just 17 unforced errors, and Williams must have had more than 10

Yeah an amazing talent in hitting unforced errors I assume?!

This is the reason why she won even with all those unforced errors:

QF v sugiyama, winners hit: Maria 44 Sugiyama 13
SF v Davenport, winners hit: Maria 46 Davenport 26
F v S Williams, winners hit: Maria 17 S Williams 14

ok, does that sound better now? Maria is a genius  :hearts: :worship:

If you can hit more unforced errors than all your opponents AND still win wimbledon, then yes.

Look at that last stat...sometimes stats don´t tell the whole story of a match.

A. Maria forces a lot of errors, which don't show up.
B. The Serena one is totally believable. I remember seeing the match--Masha was just more aggresive than Serena, thats why she won (esp. more aggresive with the second serve). Thats why after the match when Serena was like, "So many errors" I was like ?!? 10 is great for Serena in two sets usually.

I agree! Serean had very few UEs, she just got out-played!

She has the most amazing serve ever possesed by a woman.

...no

Serena Williams, even though she lost, still has the best serve in women's tennis.

Not to say I don't like Maria's serve, she has a good fluid motion and good rhythm, it's just no Serena smack.

Not yet she doesn't. Serena still has the best serve. Serena can play like total shit, and serve decent and still win a match. Maria can't do that. Don't get me wrong - Maria has a great serve, it's just nowhere near Serena's level - at least not yet.

I'm just saying she's VERY hard to break. Its basically her 1st AND 2nd serve put together. I mean her 2nd serve is always top class, better than anyone else.

Sorry, but you could say that the WS have the same kind of stats in a match, they have loads of ue, even on a good day. Bet you don't think they are as naturally talented?

Serena and Lindsay have better second serves, just to name a few.
