She said in a taped interview during the final today that if she stays healthy and is playing well, that is if she considers herself a threat for the big titles, then she'll still play! "I really don't know right now, but if I'm healthy and still a threat, then yeah I'm gonna keep playing"

omg what a great day it is to be a Lindsay fan!!!!! :bounce:

As I said in another threa by travelling with a physio should help to prolong her career as of the treatment she will receive. I only wished that I was qualified now instead of another 2 years time.

Depends on the body. If she can finish out the 2004 season playing well and as healthy as possible, she will play in 2005. I don't think we have to worry about the former, as she is in excellent form and will certainly carry that form into the US Open and indoor season afterwards. I just worry about her knee and if it can hold up for another year or more. I hope so.

I'm worried about her knee. Just remember in 2001, Lindsay won a lot of matchs in a row in the end of the year. At this moment, Lindsay was running quite fast, from what I saw of the semi of the masters. So I fear that she will injure her knee again because of the same reason.

Hey,
I just think that it's awesome that she's planning on staying around. I've been lucky enough to attend both The Bank of the West Classic in Stanford, CA as well as just seeing the JP Morgan Chase in Carson, CA. I along with some other Lindsay supporters hooted and hollered to spur her on.

The match against Venus in Stanford was memorable I must say. In comparison, to this last match against Serena, she had so much more vocal support from fans up in Stanford. Although, here the fans were no slouches. It's just that it seemed to be more of a Williamses crowd. But I didn't care, cuz I knew that Lindsay was going to dominate, just from how her performances have been. She's playing on a field of her own right now.

I'm also glad that I got her autograph at both places. But the best thing is that I live only 15 minutes away from her and I actually have seen her shopping at the local Fashion Island in Newport Beach.

I just like the simple fact that although she is a force to be reckoned with, she does it in a quiet way. And that's the way I like it!!!

Congratulation Lindsay. You're an awesome competitor and fun to watch. Stay healthy and stay positive!! ;)

I am a little worried about her knee too as you say Frederic she is doing a lot of running at the moment and we do know she has a degenerative (spelt wrongly I think) condition of the knee. However, we must trust her and her physio to do the right things and have faith and trust in them.

Go Lindsay - we all want to see you around for a little longer please:worship:

Well she has 3 weeks rest after this week so she wont be causing it any harm in those weeks, i'm sure her physio is helping her keep it in good condition...don't worry guys... she'll be ok :wavey:
