I would just like to know my chances of actually contacting maria. i shouldnt think they would be great, so im not getting my hopes up, but i can try cant i??

The thing is she's not a typical tennis player. She's so fit and a wimbledon champion and there will be millions of people like us thinking the same. If you went to watch her train then there might be a good chance!

I would think they're not that great, as she doesn't have an official site, so if you do happen to get her e-mail address or anything, then you'll be extremely lucky.

hey, i do play cricket for australia, so there might be a chance at say a function or sumthing later on in my career, which hopefully will start taking off soon!!!

Hey.....read a news somewhere...that a mystery man (she deosn't want to give out the name and details) motivated her to win the championship. any guess on who it might be??? (apart from the members here..lol)

It was some fat bald bloke from America who funded her training when she was growing up. Not a boyfriend, (the guy is married with kids) but more of a Godfather figure.

Obviously anyone would want to contact her, especially us guys:) Jokes aside though, she's beautiful talented and smart so naturally people would look up to her. So if I ever got a chance to talk to her, I suppose I'd ask her how she manages to do it all. 'Cos trust me, I'm her age, and being that good isn't easy.

thats true....shes onyl 17 adn already after the wimby win she has soo man people wathcin her now and soo much pressure is on her to perform as good as she did at wimby...and thats not kool...at 17 shes shuddnt ahve all this shit

It would be good to see her in person if she is.

I'm stuck down here and as an architect in the middle of one of my biggest projects the chances of getting even a few days off are very remote.

I think January next year is the next tournament in this country, but maybe Maria is not planning on playing because it doesn't have the prize money of the really big tournaments, and I think they play on asphalt or concrete.

Yeah the next big Tournament in Australia is the Australian Open in Melbourne in January and is played on a Rebound Ace surface.
It is a Grand Slam event so barring injury etc. Maria should definitely be playing. She has played the last 2 Aus Opens as a pro making the 3rd round last year.
Im looking forward to next years, Maria should do well as this surface suits her hard hitting game. :yeah:
